A bomb blast from suspected Boko Haram suicide
attacker targeted a group of Shiite Muslims and
injured three people in Potiskum, Yobe State,
witnesses told Hausa service of the British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The bomber detonated his explosives a few metres
(yards) from an open-air mosque in the Dogo Tebo
area of Potiskum shortly after noon prayers.
An eye witnesses told the agency that three
worshippers were hit by shrapnel and sustained mild
injuries while the bomber who is thought to be about
30 years old had his thighs and legs blown off.
