You used to be analytical and objective but not since you decamped.

That is not to say you are no longer capable of being analytical but unfortunately for you there are no issues/missteps from APC/GMB for you to feast on yet. All you've been doing can best be termed "noise making" in the absence of real issues.

Okay, let me chip in on her achievements as Petroleum Minister. They are
1. More than 300,000 direct and indirect jobs created through the Nigerian Content Policy.
2. By end of 2014, crude oil production was sustained at over 2.24 million barrels per day inspite of crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
3. Average gas production of over 8.6 billion standard cubic feet per day and over 7.6 bcfd utilization at the end of 2014.
4. Gas policy helped improve power generation output significantly. Gas supply to the power sector in last week of 2014 was about 780 million standard cubic feet per day.
5. NPDC produced 77% of domestic gas to power, I.e. Directly responsible for over 2,500MW of electricity produced in the country.
6. Average gas flare has been reduced to 12%.
7. NPDC has been developed into a midsize exploration and production company.
8. The national gas infrastructure has been enhanced by the addition of new central processing facilities along critical gas pipelines.
9. The following has commenced a) expansion of Escravos-Lagos pipeline to 2bscfd capacity b) east-west pipeline from Obiafu-Obrikom to Oben c) Calabar-Ajaokuta-Kano pipeline, utilizing Eurobond and IFC funding.
10. Completed over 375km of gas pipeline. And construction of 467km pipeline ongoing.
11. The Gas Revolution Industrial Park has been initiated which would host fertilizer, petrochemical and methanol plants. Preconstruction activities created over 1,000 jobs. An additional 150,000 would be created at the peak of construction activities.
12. Stable supply of petroleum products through effective and efficient administration of subsidies, alienating some oil cabals.
13. PPMC Depots have been upgraded across the nation despite being inoperable for many years due to pipeline vandalism.

More to come. Obiagelli and co, take note.

I can autoritatively say that one of Deziani's achievements is the impletention of the Local Content Act. The first gas plant converting flared gas to used gas was commissioned in Ologbo, Edo State. The plant which runs till date, suplies NIPP in Ihovbor, also in Edo State. The plant was built by 100% Nigerian Company. Most of the contracting EPICOM firms in Nigeria today are local players. However, please note that I am not commenting on her functions, duties and roles as a minister.

14. The PIB was championed, which when passed into law by the National Assembly, would provide a transparent regulatory framework and commercially viable National Oil Corporation.
15. Ensuring indigenous companies participated and benefitted from the recent international oil company (IOC) divestments and other local investments in industry.
16. Established the Hydrocarbon Pollution Restoration Project (HYPREP) to efficiently deal with hydrocarbon pollution in the Niger Delta and other polluted areas in Nigeria.
17. Restored peace in the Niger Delta region through the Amnesty Program.
18. Established the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN) and increased gas sales to approx 4billion standard cubic feet per day.
19. Upgrades of numerous training facilities as well as human capital developments in Federal Polytechnics of Oil and Gas in Ekowe and Bonny.
20. Local content act has seen participation of Nigerians in oil and gas contracts in exploration and production increase from 10% to over 70%.
21. Pipemill projects underway and spread across Polaku in Bayelsa state, Calabar in Cross River state, Ologbo in Edo state and Onne in Rivers state, which would generate over 25,000 jobs.
22. About 50% of marine vessels in the oil and gas industry are now owned by Nigerians. Nigerians are now acquiring deepwater rigs.
etc.
Now tell me this woman did nothing again. Ignorance is a disease, objective criticism is the way to go and not just outright condemnation of something you don't understand.

However, kudos to the government of Jonathan for following the path of wisdam to diitch away the cabals and successfully bring down the subsidy payment to N100b as reflected in the 2015 budget proposal. Meanwhile those cabals are GMB backers...

To the PIB, what you copied and pasted aren't related to PIB. It's a shame you are bringing subsidy matter into PIB. It shows you have no clue on the subject.

The falling out between Kola Aluko and Diezani Alison-Madueke

Multi-millionairre Oil magnate, Kola Aluko, is soon be on the wanted list of International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) following his failure to return to Nigeria to answer questions on his business deals, TheCable reports.

It’s the worst kept secret that Kola Aluko, who is well known around the world for his lifestyle has fallen out of a relationship with some very well connected people including his very close confidante Alison-Madueke.

Unconfirmed rumours have circulated stories for years that he is a front for the Minister of petroleum resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke and according to stories by TheCable, the founder of Fossil Resources, a downstream company, and co-director of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited, an upstream company was informed that federal government has decided to enlist Interpol to arrest and bring him back to Nigeria……check this out….. “to vomit what he has swallowed”.

TheCable went on to add that “It is mainly an issue of breach of trust, breach of a gentleman’s agreement,” a source ─ who is in the know of the deals ─ said. It was initially understood that the oil deals he was getting ─ including mining licences and crude oil trading ─ were meant to finance political campaigns. Hundreds of millions of dollars were moved out of the country through banks and bureaux de change by some Nigerian-owned oil companies, Aluko’s inclusive. There is much more to read.

Young oil magnate, Kola Aluko, will soon be on the wanted list of International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) following his failure to return to Nigeria to answer questions on his business deals, TheCable has been informed. Aluko, who is known for his love for yachts, private jets, fast cars and lavish parties ─ and has been seen hand-in-hand with supermodel Naomi Campbell (pictured) ─ has fled the country and is currently holed up in Switzerland, where he has citizenship. The founder of Fossil Resources, a downstream company, and co-director of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited, an upstream company, has been making tabloid headlines for his astonishing wealth and was recently listed on Forbes 40 richest Africans. However, he has had a dramatic falling out with the minister of petroleum resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, and his assets in Nigeria are now a target for confiscation. TheCable was told that the federal government has decided to enlist Interpol to arrest and bring him back to Nigeria “to vomit what he has swallowed”. Industry sources informed TheCable that Aluko, who has been named in many controversial deals in the oil sector, might have played “a fast one” on Alison-Madueke. “It is mainly an issue of breach of trust, breach of a gentleman’s agreement,” a source ─ who is in the know of the deals ─ said. It was initially understood that the oil deals he was getting ─ including mining licences and crude oil trading ─ were meant to finance political campaigns. Bureaux de change Over a stretch of time, hundreds of millions of dollars were moved out of the country through banks and bureaux de change by some Nigerian-owned oil companies, Aluko’s inclusive. Two banks were used to launder the funds out of the country, and, curiously, one of the suspected CEOs has now been given a major political appointment in the financial sector. Trouble started for Aluko when he bought a £150 million yacht last year and it became a global media sensation. This particular development raised eyebrows in the corridors of power. “The long and short of it is that Aluko can no longer account for all the money that he shipped out. That was the beginning of his problems,” another source, a senior official at the ministry of petroleum, said. Alison-Madueke was “shocked and destabilised at the betrayal” and swiftly moved against the 44-year-old’s businesses. “Kola ran out of the country when they started demanding the cash. He claimed he had already remitted billions and there was nothing to be remitted again. This is one of the biggest scandals in Nigeria since 2010,” the official said. Yachts Aluko owns luxury property in very expensive and exclusive neighbourhoods across New York, Beverly Hills, London, Las Vegas, Dubai, Paris, Monaco and Miami. He also owns the Galactica Star Yacht, which he acquired in June 2013. Galactica Star is a one-of-its-kind custom-built Super Yacht. The 65-metre-long play boat is the newest and largest Heesen yacht ever built. All these luxury expenses are believed to have created a big hole for him, although he insisted to friends that he had taken “enough” care of the interest of his principals. Aluko was a beneficiary of controversial oil deals in 2010. A company he has interest in, Septa Energy, a subsidiary of Seven Energy, got oil mining licences for some blocks formerly operated by Shell. Operatorship Under the relevant laws, the ownership of the blocks was to revert to the federal government through the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) but the NNPC subsidiary claimed it did not have the funds to operate them. Subsequently, the operatorships of the seven blocks were handed over to a consortium of local companies without any competitive bidding, and the companies were in turn given crude allocation as “equity payment” by NPDC under the Strategic Alliance Agreement (SAA). However, industry experts and anti-corruption campaigners questioned the wisdom of the deal, especially as it was later discovered that these companies leveraged on the same oil blocks to raise the needed finance. NPDC could have adopted the same financing option without having to involve the companies and having to pay them with crude oil for its own share of the cost, they argued. To worsen matters, it was calculated that the nation lost $750 million in the deal, as the companies were allowed to pay only $50 million to the federation account instead of the real value of $800 million. TheCable could not reach either Alison-Madueke or Aluko. While calls to Aluko’s mobile phone did not go through, the minister did not reply messages sent to her phone. I don't think it's feminine beef as Obiagelli the OP is female herself. Truth of the matter is that most of them APC goons would rather not see anything good in Jonathan's administration. The oil cabal wanted Deiziani removed since 2012, and since GEJ didn't remove her, they assumed he must be benefitting from her somehow. Most APC supporters allow themselves to be used, they digest any propaganda hook, line and sinker as long as it tarnishes GEJ and his team in bad light, even when it's outright falsehood. Buhari has won and still they'll not rest. Anything to justify their egos and erroneously subjective views.

How does a president "pass bill"? Is he a legislator? How do you expect him to sign bill into law when the bill is yet to be passed by both Houses of the Parliament? How do you expect the PIB to be passed when delegation from a section of the country in the both Houses are kicking against some vital Items in the bill? How do you expect a bill to be passed when renegade PDP 7th Assembly members have been working for the opposition since 2011? Finally, how does Obiagelli expect Jonathan to sign the bill when it has not been passed by the NASS? Pls read her comment again.... Thank you!

All that na grammar. Deziani's much touted achievement is the PIB which wasn't started by her nor has the bill been passed and far from being signed. This brings us back to the initial question, what was her achievement as the longest serving minister of petroleum in Nigeria?

This one is late but ill say that i am yet to see any thread obiagelli has analysed without bias.
Am not sure if this is from the local content policy but i know it was championed by madueke. and that is 70%-80% of crew on offshore vessels must be Nigerian. U know what that translates to. She actually followed that up. Now we have more indigenous contractors and subcontractors in the offshore industry and she followed that up. Thats why you see the like of Hyundai heavy, and Daewoo in nigeria now. I think they came in 2012. Then in the downstream sector, i never saw any oil minister at more loggerheads with marketers than her, and that was due to supply of petroleum products. Marketing of petroleum products in nigeria is a different ball game entirely, i hope there is somebody on this forum that has time enough to enlighten us a little in that sector cos i cant type too much.
Saying that she did nothing is unacceptable in my opinion. Maybe u can rate her performance at 35%-45% which is even the best which any petroleum minister has done in my opinion. and someone is asking y she hasnt built refineries. Thats funny
