MrCrackles: And this is the mistake PES lovers keep making. Of course, FIFA was shit pre-2006. I have always been a PES fan until they released Pro Evo 6(one of the worst games ever). I made a bold step and got FIFA 07(the difference was massively clear). Since then, i stuck to FIFA and they have not disappointed me since then. FIFA 08/FIFA 09 on PS3 platform is something else entirely. Compare FIFA 09 to PES 2009 and you will sue Konami for exploiting you. |

~Sauron~: Agreed, some bloody FIFA/EA footy games have improved since the inception of the PS3 but they will still pale in comparison to Konami/PES I have never felt exploited by Konami to be honest, they pioneered the modern and realistic soccer gaming experience FIFA needed them to do that before they could step up thier game Pre 2007, FIFA games was atrocious and players looked like cardboard boxes, awful sight and shitty gaming experience! ^^ Football game is not based on looks.  It is how the game engine works, you know the whole game not feeling mechanised and very predictable. Something some argue is obvious with Fifa. If you pick up Pro evo and use Ronaldo on it, Ronaldo plays just like Ronaldo. And if you use henry, he plays just like the real henry. The thing is with Fifa, the players lack individual characteristics that is ever so present in the pro series, hence why a lot of people are not fussed about the "good looks" on fifa. |

Folks, I solved my audio issues eventually by purchasing this - http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/3479314/-/Product.html It became clear that the issue was my TV. The volume was just too poor. The speaker I bought is a simulated 5:1 surround but it is very loud. Hooked it to the PS3 via optical cable. Problem solved! FIFA09 and blu ray movies sound fantastic! |
