Good evening house and Happy Sunday to you all. please i need your help on this issue am having right now. my 2008 accord v6 with vcm is having misfire issues. have had the car scanned and the only codes that came up where P3497(cylinder deactivation on bank 2) and P2183(coolant temp sensor). no multiple random cylinder misfire codes but yet the car does misfire. cry cry cry

Your engine ecm requires an update.

Also check and replace vtec sensor.

The vtec sensor controls the variable cylinder management.

As for the temp sensor code, its the secondary temp sensor located on lower side of radiator.

Fix first problem, which is the bank2 vcm stuck issue. Check vtech sensor.

When you are done check present engine ecm software version and post here.
