An Islamic state is a country that runs a full theocracy, headed by a competent Islamic scholar, and which implements the Shari'ah of Allah. So far, the only Islamic state on the earth today is the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran has a 98.7% Muslim-majority population. There are only 200,000 Christians in the country.
