Its always very repulsive. heard it was used by slave Masters to identify their slaves. I humbly think it shld be discontinued. its not worth it abeg.

Thanks to Heaven that i dont have this REPULSIVE AND UGLY thing called "tribal mark". Even though my tribe also has, i wld have cut away my face just to remove them if i had any.

i don't know how many people came up with this madness for a culture.

A couple of reasons were responsible. During the old wars in and around Nigeria, tribal marks were a good means of identification of yoruba families.
The marks were also used for the same purpose during slave trade era. But long ago, tribal mark has outlived its purpose
