Both of em are gud device bt then the note 3 stands out for me due to its gesture and swag,and cus have used one(not testest the s5 yet though)..

Go for LG G2,G3 OR G4.

The two cater for two different demographics,are you a Galaxy Note or S guy sizewise,having said that the Note 3 is getting a bit long in the tooth and is getting scare,doubt if Samsung is still making it,the S5 is the newer of the two and will get longer support from Samsung,if you like bigger size and S pen go for Note 3,that's it's only advantages compared to S5,in every other specs the S5 is the better option..#MY2CENTS

The note3 is by far the better,with a whooping 3200 mAh of battery juice compared to S5'S 2800, 3gig of RAM compared to S5's 2gig, Infrared blaster for remote control,full HD super AMOLED compared to S5 's AMOLED,WIFI direct which is absent in S5,internal storage up to 64gig compared to S5's 32gig ..etc
or is it the S-pen that does wonders including using it as a tilt support to watch movies when u don't feel like holding the phone.the difference in size is just o.6inches(5.7 and 5.1)....I'm still using my note3 after 13 months plus and the battery ain't showing any sign of drain...i will never use any phone outside the note series..This is simply the best from sammy.very satisfied. .I'd recommend it to anyone,any day any time ..
