A warm welcome to you all to the live coverage of the oriental derby between rivals, Enugu Ranger and Heartland of Owerri from one of the oldest sport ground in Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in the heart of Enugu.


I 'm Crown Prince and I will be keeping you up to date actions developing from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium and other NPFL matches. The host hasn't been impressive in the early stage of this league season while Heartland has been a force to reckon with.


Both teams are the ONLY two teams that has never got relegated since the inception of the league in 1972. All eyes will be on Rangers this season if and if they can escape relegation with their slow start of this Campaign.


Heartland has petition the LMC over the illegal acquisition of three of their players by Rangers.
The trio involved in this case are Osas Okagbue, Osas Okoro and the high scoring striker, Bobby Clement.


Ranger's defence has been the worst of all NPFL teams this season having conceded 11 goals, 9 of it coming from away matches including the heavy heavy 4:2 defeat in Bauchi by Wikki Tourist.


Heartland has the highest away win among NPFL team this season having won 2 matches on the road by defeating Shooting stars and Kwara United.


Inability of Rangers to gain maximum point could see Coach Kelechi Emeteole fired.

I am disappointed with the low turnout of spectators for this derby. Back in 2007 when I normally go to Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, matches like this hardly have any space in the stands. Poor league management I guess.

I wonder how they expect to make money. Dearth of supporters, lack of adverts on home games, zero PR; I think Gov Chime didn't have sports in his agenda. I hope Gburugburu will.

What is wrong with Enyimba and dropping points at home? It's not even halfway yet and they have dropped 4 points at home.What's the use of getting points away when you don't win your home games.

And that's exactly what i don't like about the NPFL.While some teams play it fair at home, the fans of some other teams start constituting nuisance when things don't go their way.Is that fair?
