Please I need diverse opinions on this matter.

A good friend of mine is in need of job and I have the capacity to employ him but my family is of the opinion that it may not go down well at the long run.

They suggest I should rather help him in any other way apart from giving him employment in my company.

I really don't know how to go about it.

Please what do u think?

You can employ you friend in two capacities:- One, give him or her Job Description and written Conditions of employment. And two, make him or her a Partner and adhere strictly to Partnership rules, regulations and laws.

Do not ever try it..

He will fight you later and you cannot control him like other staff of yours. His attitude will always be, " are we not friends " ?

Rather give him N500,000. Guide him to start his own business and if he fails, it won't be your fault..
