PentiumPro:I'll advice them to thread cautiously. Look at the amount of foreign dignitaries that have come to visit the president-elect. Do these Niger Deltans think they just came for nothing? Some of them came to protect their interest while most came to pledge allegiance to the incoming administration. If the war against militancy proves too difficult for the nigeria army, it won't be difficult for buhari to get foreign support as other nations now see nigeria as a country to befriend. For those that are quick to ridicule the nigeria army due to boko haram and the exploits of the ND militants in the past, pls note that certain issues caused their slow progress. We all know how corrupt the army has become under GEJ. The institution that could go as far as hiding the certificate of one of its own just to scuttle his presidential campaign should be known to have been compromised, hence their losses in the hands of boko haram. The ND militant issue was accomodated too much due to the fact that people were sympathetic to their course and rose in defence of them. Now that they have the NDDC, the ND ministry and jonathan a son of theirs moving from VP to president for 6yrs, nobody is ready to listen to any whining from them again. They had a golden opportunity to turn things around, yet they scuttled it by empowering militants who in turn invested in foreign countries to the detriment of the niger delta they claim they are struggling for. It is quite silly to think boyloaf, asari and tompolo who have been enjoying private jets and sleeping in first class suites of the best hotels in abuja will now forget about their wealth and head to the creeks where they'll be killing mosquitoes and dodging bullets. To the niger delta youths: pls don't let the cries of the people across the niger lure you into picking up arms against the nation, cos they will not join you in any war thesame way they feel you abandoned them during theirs and stole their properties. Be wise and move on from GEJ's loss, instead of spitting fire and brimstone. 21 Likes 3 Shares |

juicee1: Story for the gods, lets pray it doesn't get to this level. Nigeria is an unfamiliar terrain to any foreign army/interventionist. America has never defeated terrorism in any country because any country apart from USA will always remain an unfamiliar terrain to them. They will however join hands in destroying the remaining oil installation which would also be the target of the militants thereby bringing Nigeria to its knees. Any foreign intervention on naija delta permitted by buhari's government will be seen as a declaration of war by the hausa on the naija delta and this will rope in other minority tribes and the SE will now be interested, I pray it doesn't get to that level, nobody is gonna like it. I'm tired of the much blood that has been shed by boko haram already. We have had enough with boko haram, lets not hope on some unexisting foreign intervention when the militancy resumes. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Like I have always said, the earlier the citizens of odua states start lobbying the international community to get out of the useless country, the better. An odua state citizen spent 30 years doing his homework while ogogoro drunk thinks he can change the persons destiny. These fools think the strategic thinking behind the burgeoning SW oil industry ( skilled based rather than raw materials) is based on dependence on Niger delta oil. Nope. That oil can easily be sourced from Ghana, Algeria, Angola, equatorial guinea and Gabon with an insignificant increase in operational cost from the cost of transportation. Let them continue shitting on their home land and expect one imaginary investor to come. Fashola has been building courts every year just to improve the rule of law. Last week, he commissioned the new Court of arbitration Do these foolz know the purpose of a court of arbitration. Keep building hotels, flyovers to nowhere and governors' palaces. “This is a huge milestone in the history of Ladol,” said Amy Jadesimi, Ladol CEO, in an interview with Oil & Gas Technology. “We have been developing the facility for thirty years and the ground-breaking today is a real watershed moment.” The new shipyard has been built by Ladol and Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria and will be West Africa’s largest vessel fabrication and integration facility, creating 50,000 new jobs in Nigeria. Ladol spent USD 500m to construct its Deep Offshore Logistics Base specialised industrial village near Lagos to provide maritime and oil and gas services. “Our focus and mission is to build infrastructure that will allow foreign companies to come and participate in Africa’s largest oil and gas market without having to compromise on efficiency and cost.” “In other words they can come in here and bring their own staff or set up their own facilities, independently or jointly with us, and be able to operate in their own safe environment.” The facility is strategically located on an island at the point of entry into Lagos harbour, directly opposite Apapa Port in the LADOL Free Zone. “This is why the government has set up the Free Zones and supported us. They want this private investment and know that it needs a combination of indigenous investors building a place that foreign investors can come into and operate efficiently.” The Ladol facility will be officially opened in a groundbreaking ceremony later today which will be attended by various Nigerian dignitaries, the managing director of Shell and the joint-venture representatives. In 2010 Total signed an agreement with the Nigerian government that ensured a portion of construction for offshore projects will be performed in Nigeria. It is now possible for Total to now fulfil this promise using the Ladol shipyard, where it now plans to build at least one of its planned floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels. “This is the ideal location for Total and the only 100 per cent indigenous facility.” Jadesima believes that through this facility the domestic engineering and construction sectors will explode. “We have at least three major FPSO projects coming up that will cost us up to USD 30bn, with Shell saying that Nigeria will soon be their highest spend area in the world, reckoning to invest USD 40bn” “We see the country becoming an even bigger oil and gas hub for the whole of West Africa because these largefacilities can only be built and operated in Nigeria. “We definitely could see a shift from Asian shipyards. If you have a look at the coastline of West Africa it is incredible how few facilities and infrastructure to support the oil and gas industry. Nigeria is a major producer of oil. “We’re following the same model as Brazil. The trajectory we are on is predictable – it is certain – and once these facilities are built we can raise sustained output.” 13 Likes |

THANK GOD EVERY REGION NOW OWNS THE NIGER DELTA OIL AND MAY GOD BLESS THE NORTHERN AND SOUTH WEST REPS WHO PASSED THAT BILL. NIGER DELTANS HAVE BEEN OVER PAMPERED IN THE NIGERIAN STATE AND ITS HIGH TIME WE PUT A CHECK ON THEM. EVERY RESOURCES IN THE NIGERIAN TERRITORY BELONGS TO ALL NIGERIANS. WE CAN NOT CONTINUE TO ALLOW THEM CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF OUR OIL WHILE THEIR REGION WAS DEVELOPED BY MONEY FROM COCOA AND GROUNDNUT BEFORE OIL WAS DISCOVERED. THIS IS THE CHANGE WE CLAMOURED FOR AND I'M GLAD CHANGE IS HERE. THE SOUTH EAST ARE VERY BITTER ABOUT THE BILL BECAUSE THEY ARE STYLISHLY LURING THE NIGER DELTA INTO THEIR BIAFRAN DREAM WHICH IS FUTILE FROM INCEPTION. I REALLY THANK THE NORTH FOR MAKING THIS GREAT MOVE. THE NORTH SHALL ALWAYS BE THE OWNER OF NIGERIA COS THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST POPULATION AND LAND MASS. WE SOUTHWESTERNERS ARE SOLIDLY BEHIND THE NORTH 6 Likes 2 Shares |

According to the IYC in a statement by its spokesman, Comrade Eric Omare, "We want to make it clear that whether court injunction or no court injunction, we would not allow materials to be fabricated in Lagos and used to build oil platform in the Niger Delta region. Niger Deltans have been taken for granted for too long and we would no longer accept it "Henceforth, Niger Deltans would take steps to ensure that any oil company without its headquarters in the Niger Delta region would not be allowed to operate in the region. Was the president asleep when the project was implemented?? Why didn't he insist it be sighted in Bayelsa from the onset?? Why now?? Can we all see how a president deliberately endangers the security of the country simply because he lost a contest. What a sore loser. Nobel Prize indeed. 16 Likes |

I sincerely commend the Niger Deltans for waking up now: good morning! Now that u're awake; do everything possible to regain control of your God-given resources and this time, use them well. Peace, you must guarantee in that region, always. Once this is achieved, every oil and gas coys must relocate their headquarters back to ND; every other person must go and apply for jobs; work and live in the ND. This is your chance; falter not! |

When you read the story of the court case on thisdaylive, you will realise that the whole issue is between LADOL and INTELS. The new NPA chairman sanusi lamido Adobayero appointed by goodluck jonathan is said to be a stake holder in INTELS and INTELS is the company managing the three terminal port in niger-delta where he want LADOL to relocate it properties to. Sanusi Adobayero is working for his own personal interest and not for niger-delta, i hope buhari sack him when he assume office. 1 Like |
