This is an updated post, the vehicle was involved in a fire incident, the fire was put out before it could spread to the other parts of the car. I've attached more pictures to show the aftermath. My Insurance company just paid me for the repairs, but i don't want it fixed, i want it sold.Price is 500K Naira firm. Contact Seun on 07028591296 if you're interested. The previous post is below. I just got this off my uncle's friend, but i'm buying a new car next month and there's just not enough space in my compound. It's gon' be tough losing this baby as i only just purchased it last month, but I'll let it go for the right price. This car is perfect for people who love big engines and it's a chick/hunk magnet (lol!) Not when the oil pressure gage is at max , If we are pointing out that your truck might have issues its because we've learnt from experienceat what to look for when buying a used car. Youve asked before about finding a Chevy mech, but you never mentioned the reason now I see it has to do with engine service(oil&filter change) |

Are your volunteering your services? i don't mind, I know they are not major issues as the car runs prefectly, i just don't want any road side mechanic touching my SUV. |

I went for a full service and to check for the error codes last week, turns out it's from a bad temperature sensor, Still available at 1.5 mill, |

Temperature sensor seems to be working, it might be coolant temperature sensor which tells computer engine is warm or cold. If that car was warm when you took that pic, from what I see, its either you have removed your thermostat, or you have a air pocket in you cooling system. Your tach is at 600rpm, but temp is below 180 i.e engine running cold. Temperature sensor does not affect oil pressure. What were the codes they pulled. At 40k mile, its still young, double check on the oil, and filter part number. A substandard/wrong filter might be the problem. You may not need to sell it. |

I hate to say this, but between then and now, someone finally burned the engine. Those trucks are good, its people that miss warning signs. Its done , I hope you learn from this. |

@Sultaan Do you know a mechanic that fixes these kind of trucks? I've got an estimated quote to fix it, but i'd like a second opinion. The engine is actually only partially burnt. I'm just not interested in spending my money to fix it. |
