The day I took this pix, that gun boat was to follow some oil workers to their base. The villagers were not helping matters as they kept telling me how some gunmen attacked an ordinary boat like the one I was boarding and kidnapped some people!
The whole jetty was a mess! People would just take off their pants and do their business right at the waterside.
I went through all the jetties cos I had to go to so many villages to work and I must say, I was disappointed! I think the best jetty I saw was Bomadi in Delta, on our way to Ekeogbene.

Considering the fact that Amaechi received more money(over 3 trillion naira) in 8yrs, more than what Rwanda earned iin 10yrs, yet Rivers state is like that makes him the first man Buhari should jail & i will be believe he is serious with corruption fight, infact, he will convert me.

Wike should keep to his words and carry out a foresnic audit of all government accounts.lt is imperative to know where all the billions has disappeared to

This is really an eyesore. These Three major communities has been a major contributor to the Rivers state and Nigerian nation's purse like hell. Nembe, though is in Bayelsa State but they are still part of Rivers State for old time sake and they have lots of oil flow stations contributing to the national purse. Bonny which is the host community to NLNG and other oil firms. Bille which is also a host to at least two oil flow stations contributing to NLNG, Bonny with Shell %100 exploring in that community are yet to get befitting jetty/port for them. Shame to both Rivers State and FG.

SMH for change agents. Apc propaganda media machine were blind to this mess. Seriously smh

The truth is that the revenue generated at those watersides everyday alone is enough to change the face of those places... I see no reason why Rivers cannot be like Texas... Both are oil states and Texas is even bigger and yet beautiful. What is the difference between Bonny waterside and KHEMA?

In 2007 when Omehia was the Governor of Rivers State, he signed a contract worth billions in order to link a bridge from nembe waterside to borokiri. The only work done was the mounting of some pillars close to the jetty.
Traders were asked to evacuate the base. Subsequently, bulldozers moved in & cleared part of the waterside (the part wia d shops wia located).

Omehia claimed to have paid out all the money meant for that project & some other projects as well. Amaechi just decided not to hunt him.
(U cannot deny this, except u are not aware which I'm sure u are).

Amaechi wanted to expand the roads leading to Bundu & Borokiri respectively, but the Okrika inhabitants quickly ran to their 'messiah'. She succeeded in halting those projects.
The Ikwerres @ Ikwerre road & its environs allowed theirs to be demolished & the road was reconstructed with enough expansion.

Today people plying that route are grateful for the expansion & facelift of the road by the Rivers State Govt. (Lubrik handled that project).


I'm sure u passed other govt projects b4 heading to that waterside, but sentiment wld not allow u voice out the truth.


Amaechi is not a saint, but please don't paint him black always except u & ur cohorts are white.
