CONGRATS BROTHER , AM SURE YOU APPLIED UNDER SSVF ; WOULD BE SO NICE OF YOU TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE ABOUT THE NEW RULE RATHER THAN JUST BRIEFING SO MANY PROSPERTIVE CANDIDATES ON HERE , WHAT AND WHAT DID YOU SUBMIT AS REGARDS FINANCIAL DOCS , AT WHAT TIME DID YOU GO TO TLS FOR FINGERPRINTING

Cc BigZCassino. asoasoaso

I did my medicals at IOM on 3rd July, 2016 (33,000 NGN), finalized online on the 8th of July.

Then, I lodged my visa (550 AUD) on 7th July, an auto mail was generated to go do biometrics. Biometrics (Finger printing ) was done at TLS on 8th July, 2016 (7,100 NGN). Status online read "Assessment in Progress" until 19th July wen the grant rolled in.

As for financial document: I uploaded a "proof of sponsorship"....since i'm on a postgraduate scholarship.

What kind of 419 deal is this one? Even Sydney doesn't cost this much. Or do they mine gold in d apartment?
Is always good we mind our choice of words. I never advertised it for myself. Only trying to help people who may need it.
Here's the photo of the advert from gumtree.

FutureDon, yea, exactly my thoughts. A PhD is like a 9-5 job, I've heard. I Sent you a PM bro. Thanks for all your help.

FutureDon:

Really bro? It's PhD for God's sake.

PhD is a full time job on it's own and that's why some assessing bodies take years of PhD study as years of work experience. Believe me, the unlimited work hours for PhD students is practically useless. They know we will never have that luxury of time to maximize those hours. Almost all, if not all international PhD students in Australia are genuinely here to study. PhD is not something you can have "one leg in, one leg out", you need to have "both legs in" it. Going with the former may lead such student to being kicked out of their program or asked to transfer to MPhil.

Life as a PhD student is hard, not only in Australia but in all advanced countries where kick a s s research is valued. POTUSUK, let me know if you have specific questions that you would like me to answer. Feeling kinda lazy now.

Proof of sponsorship by whom, father, mother, brother, sister or uncle.
Sorry for my directly Inquisition, I am being sponsored by my sister so I wish to know if it is applicable under ssvf.

If I may ask again, only prove of sponsorship?, No statements, No Tax certificate ?
Thank you.

Please did you submit a police report?

@Observant. If he is on a scholarship, he'll definitely have a letter of confirmation from the school...that obviously translates to proof of sponsorship

Hello guys,

So I heard to get a chinos trouser in Aussie is like $100, even bathroom slippers $15. I even heard shoes are too?!.

1. What can you say about that?.
2. What do you suggest I come with from Naija.
3. Where do peeps shop for less in Sydney or Aussie generally?

Come with everything comable (lol). Yes things can be expensive here but when you get used to the system you'll decipher what's expensive and what's not, what is needed and what is wanted.
Infact I'm looking for anyone coming to brisbane from abuja.

Hello all,

I'm having issues making payment for PTE -A with my GTB MasterCard Naira. It has been failing till now. Everytime I try, GTB sends e-mail telling me Dynamic Currency Conversation, DCC is not allowed with my card. I do online purchases on Amazon with the same card, I paid Engineer Australia for assessment with the card.

Any suggestions, pls?
Who pay for PTE recently and what card did u use?

You can't pay for PTE using your local cards in Nigeria, you have to buy a voucher code from any of the authorised dealers. You can send a mail to racheal@ukeas.com.ng and ask her if voucher codes are available.
