How the hell did that enaholo of a keeper got into the squad?
The poorest keeper i have seen in my entire life.
The match illustrated the huge technical deficit of Nigerian coaches.
A very balanced first half changed into a complete domination by the brazillians in the second half.

The coach should have planned for a draw instead of going for a win.He should have learnt from Samson siasia. When planning these south american teams especially brazil espeacially in the group opening match a draw should have been the best option then other matches you go for out right and convincing win

You are the one who needs to calm down, not me. Do you know the kind of sacrifice the guy made to be part of that team representing me and you? You need to cheer the guy up and not coming here to carelessly talk.

Sorry guys, Manu Gaba messed up the team.

I have decided to say something about this match, not because i just want to write but just to question ourselves how we reason in Nigeria. Brazil did not wake up one day and become a super power in the football world.Boasting of beating a team that our past U20 teams have not defeated in previous nine encounters proceeding that of this morning is day dreaming. Now let's face some facts, 1. How many times has Nigeria produced a world acclaimed football stars like, great Pele,Romario,Ronaldinho,Ronaldo,Neymar of 2011 Fifa U20 world cup becoming a pillar of National team? did we not win 2007 fifa world cup?who among our players rose to stardom and shake a powerful team for years and finally win senior FIFA world cup till date.
Now, Coach Manu Gaba killed this team by declaring without reasoning that we gonna beat Brazil,we going to win the world cup, winning a major tournament is not by boasting, even if you have got caterpillars as players. It is a gradual process,he should have changed tactics when we took the lead in first half at 2-1,the pattern played by this team is very glaring to everybody,tic-tac and lunch a long thrust in search of Awoniyi or our wing back thrusting forward to make a pull out or we send a pass behind our striker especially Success. If you starve our players of the ball they are finished,if a team did not allow the U20 to impose their game or dictate the pace of the game they can't win.The moment we were 2-1 up the coach should have brought in Simon and Sokari for Kelechi and Yahaya to try to keep the ball, perfect some knocking the ball here and there and let the Brazilians chase the ball,in that they will be tired, frustrated and that will have openened the gate for more goals.
The goal keeper messed up,this is glaring to everyone but i think it is a stage pressure, having been his first time playing the world cup and moreso against almighty Brazil,i think we should have given confidence to Alampasu here and let him gell as he is known to the other guys in the fame all conquering 2013 U17 world cup winner.
Sincerely,i knew this game will be difficult than expected because a child is not born, walk and run same day.Mr. Gaba should have approached the first game with caution, most Nigerian teams improve as competition progress.A draw in today game would have been far better than loosing to Brazil from my personal point of view.Remember you don't boast to win a match, you work hard to make it happen.
My advise for the team is simple,1. The team should be patient for result, work on their passes, change their pattern of play and not only the rigid formular that me and you know,we can try another goal keeper,i prefer Alampasu though.Winning our two remaining matches is very very crucial for us to book our passage to the next round,I hope the defeat is a blessing in disguise.
Finally, we should stop boasting,we winning this competition or beating all teams, this is very arrogant because a little mistake can cost you a match and nobody knows where the mistake will come from.If our goal keeper did not gave the Brazilian the third goal, maybe the boys would have fight to either win or draw today, coach influence is not much seen. God bless Nigeria.

OwerriChairman:
THE GAME's TACTiCAL ANALYSIS

1) Iheanacho is a damn winger.
Manu Garba should note this.

2) Awoniyi should start from the left, Isaac Success is a more clinical finisher.

3) That defensive midfield needs at least, a new blood that can retain possession at critical times. Idowu and Chidera comes to mind.

4) The stage should be set now, for the introduction of the Under-17 best keeper of the tournament; Alampasu.
Enaholo has given his best.

5) Dropping Okon for that left back; Mustapha, must be justified. Or else... Hmmm

6) Calm down our play in the next two games. All we need is 4 points from the available 6. 3rd place qualifies in this tournament when their goals are high enough.

I see a Nigeria v Brazil final soon.
must awoniyin and success start togeda?.... to me all we jux nid is an extra person in d midfield...den we 'll b gud to go

We cant conclude he has a future just yet there were many players back then who had more talent than him back then bt where are they today they've gone MIA,have you forgotten ANDERSON,DA SILVA'S TWIN BROTHER,our own MIKEL OBI where are they 2day.They are nowhere to be found

Just watch out .... He is technically and tactically gifted... His drafting and link up plays are way too matured ....

Speaking about Mikel.... I don't blame him ... He did what was right for him... Considering that no oyibo man believed a black can play number 10 position form them.... You will call okaocha ... If he were so good he could have won meaningful trophy with a meaningful club.... I can list African fine midfielders who ended up playing DM or even defense position....
