A family was shocked to learn that their dead loved one woke up and hour after being declared dead, police in Wisconsin said.

Milwaukee Police said that they were called to an apartment by a woman who was worried about the welfare of her boyfriend.

The girlfriend called police on Tuesday, as she was worried about his serious medical condition. Officers who arrived at the scene, found 46-year-old Thomas Sancomb at the foot of a bed.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene, did not try to revive him as he was cold to the touch and stiff. He was pronounced dead at 2:10 p.m. at in the apartment.
