I listened to our new presidents speech just now and what I could deduce as regards the local government is that this government wants transparency. Do you think it's possible governors stop meddling in the affairs of the local government? He specifically mentioned the JAC accounts. Your ideas please. |

It was one of the keypoints in the Constitutional review committee established by GEJ but when the referendum got to the states houses of assemblies, they were thrown away on the instruction of the various states governors. Today, a state like Rivers would wish such referendum went through because Amaechi just conducted LG elections which may be thrown away in few days. 1 Like |
