street fighter is back again !the next iteration of one of the most renowned fighting game series of all time,

Its hella good, the graphic details is tight but the game is still in two dimension, u cant side step n all that. Besides that, game play and graphics is 98%

@ gamine, you CANNOT side step. its a 3D game but the fights take place in 2D they ditched the usual sidestepping of tekken n the rest.

tip on unlocking characters -

Play arcade mode on easiest difficulty and on one round only.

Unlockable: Characters
Perform the actions below to unlock the desired character(s):
• Cammy - Beat Arcade Mode with Crimson Viper.
• Fei Long - Beat Arcade Mode with Abel.
• Gen - Beat Arcade Mode with Chun Li.
• Rose - Beat Arcade Mode with M. Bison (Dictator).
• Sakura - Beat Arcade Mode with Ryu.
• Dan - Beat Arcade Mode with Sakura.
• Akuma - After unlocking Sakura, Dan, Cammy, Fei Long, Gen and Rose, Fight him on arcade mode, to do that, Get at least 2 perfects and 2 Ultra Finishes.(any character except akuma, gouken and seth of course can be used)

Gouken - After unlocking Akuma, Sakura, Dan, Cammy, Fei Long, Gen and Rose, Fight him on arcade mode, to do that, Get at least 2 perfects and 3 Ultra Finishes.(Akuma must be used)

Seth - End the game with all the other characters (essentially defeat the game with gouken, because to unlock gouken u must have defeated arcade mode with all other characters)

I thought so too. But then, I was never the sidestepping type in the first place. But the game definitely has depth:

- Focus Attacks (Power moves for offense/defense/tightspot)
- EX gauge (Self explanatory)
- Revenge gauge (If you're taking a whooping beating, you can use this instead of your EX gauge for a more colorful/powerful version of your Ultimate combo. Of course, if you don't KO your opponent with the revenge gauge, expect his own to be full and ready!)

Personally, it doesn't get better than this, for now.

Street Fighter IV is out on PS3 & XBOX360. 
It first came out in Arcade version.
I heard that Capcom will be releasing the PC version by the 3rd quarter of 2009.

I used to be the local champion in my complex in Wuse, Abuja. I'm confident that after all this years I'll still be able to handle people in SF4!

since d days of nintendo i 've known a guy to be a champion ,uptill date he still remains the champion , even on ps3

Then i'm part of the 20% that doesn't.

SF 4 is a fighting game masterpiece. awesome graphics, deep fighting system and best of all they remained true to their roots, not side stepping, no weapons, just pure 2D fighting fun. i believe it is the best street fighter game since SF 2 Turbo, and its also coming out on PC during the summer.

What's all this talk about side stepping in SF?The best SF games as far as i'm concerned are the ones in 2D (talking about sf turbo,super sf,sf zero and the rest).SF took a lil down hill when it went 3D in PS1.

By the way,has anyone ended Tower of souls (Ascend) in soul calibur 4 on PS3? I'm in level 45-46, it's really really hard to get past the Astharoth guy in 46.Any pointers?
