The FCT Post is looking for more than a 100 people that are passionate, purpose driven, serious about career growth and development. We are a new start up media company virtually based in Abuja, Nigeria. Since we are just starting up, we decided we would like to work with people in the following profession listed below, from around Nigeria and other African Countries. Who would not mind starting out in a Volunteer position that would convert to a Full-Time/Part-Time position in about a year. The current positions that are open, are Volunteers position for people who are willing and ready to dedicate their time, skills, commitment, consistency to our start-up media company with a future potential of being the next big News media outlet in The Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and beyond.

Job Descriptions.

Blogging:
New Volunteer would be responsible for opinionated, stylish writing and frequently posting new content to our website. Duties may also include developing and/or revising text for other venues, including online communities, press releases, web articles and video blogs. Must demonstrate the ability to write professionally for varied audiences and consistently meet tight deadlines. Experience with key words and meta tags is preferred but not required. The right candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and prior blogging/Internet writing experience. Prior experience in journalism or marketing communications is preferred.

Social Media Specialist:
Responsible for defining and executing a specific social media strategy. Duties may include cultivating new communities and managing branded online communities on the company's behalf using Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube and other social media. The specialist will provide relevant content daily while tracking metrics and monitoring relevant conversations. The right candidate will have knowledge in marketing, advertising, communications, anthropology or business administration, and experience in marketing, public relations, advertising or a related field. Additionally, the candidate must possess a solid understanding of the social media universe, including YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, StumbleUpon, Delicious, Digg, reddit, forums, wikis and blogs.

Reporting:
New Volunteers would engage in live reporting, investigative journalism from around where they live and beyond, a little bit of travel may be required also (Company covers all travel expenses). All new volunteers would be given access and privilege to post and edit content and articles in the specific category of interest.
