The Senate on Wednesday passed 46 bills into law in less than ten minutes the bills were introduced by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Ita Enang.
But the passage of the bills in a very short time caused uproar among Senators even after the voice vote had been taken by the presiding officer and Senate President, David Mark where the “Ayes ” had their way.
As the development caused serious rowdy session, Senator Mark, told those who were not satisfied with the passage of the bills to come up tomorrow being the next legislative day with their names and signatures for consideration.
Before the bills were passed, the Senate had suspended Order 79 (1) of the Senate Standing Orders and deemed all the Bills as having passed first, second and third readings on the floor of the Senate and concur to same.

I have always opined that the parliament and Judiciary is the biggest cog to our wheel of development.

The question is what have they been doing all these while and how many people are left in the chambers.

These arms of the government are shrouded in corruption and will never make or interprete good laws to get us on the path of development.

The judiciary is the last hope of the common man BUT the first hope of the corrupt rich.

The national assembly may be divided along party lines now but watch how they go under one umbrella when its time to share money.

They can pass politicians friendly bills within 10 minutes but will take years to discuss the ones that will benefit the citiznes.

46 bills? That's incredible. Anyways am really curious about the bills and also if its passage will be in favor of the masses or for their pockets. But I seriously doubt it will be the former,going by precedence.

I warned PMB to be careful of the slow spoke green snake under the green grass trade Mark called David Mark. Any plan to bring the country down with any notorious laws would be upturned by the upcoming house of assembly. Shame on them for waiting till the end of their tenures before signing any bills.
