As I gathered, the only sponsored prog currently is the PEPD (by Total E and P NG) and the Petroleum Geosciences (Best performing 5 Ladies) and of course you have to cater for your acceptance, accommodation and feeding and this sums up to around 500k.

Anyone with admission offer from Heriot Watt? They gave 4 weeks ultimatum for candidates to respond to offer, just want know if there's anyone here who has replied.

If we even choose to look beyond the current economic imbalance due to attenuating/undulating oil price. We still have to consider internal problems, i.e the sponsorship is from NAE, OANDO and NNPC, which means they will have to get the fund together before contacting successful candidates and that may be difficult considering the current state of things within NNPC i.e the board of directors has been dissolved which I'm not sure the government is doing anything about right now. This is just my perception, I may be wrong... In fact I want to be wrong on this.

Reservoir Evaluation and Management, you chose Petroleum Geoscience according to you previous post? I did the same at first but during the interview I told them the aspects of geoscience I have special interest in and I told them I want a course that will give me variety of opportunities and they advised me to go and look at the Reservoir Evaluation and Management... the course is like the combination of Petroleum Engineering with Petroleum Geoscience and the field work is in Spain unlike PetGeo that's in UK. You can go and look at it if its not too late to make a change.

go for Petroleum Geoscience for Reservoir Development and Production in Manchester.

U are being taught Petroleum Geoscience as well as Reservoir Evaluation, Management and fundamentals of Reservoir Engineering.

u can apply

but it requires ielts 7.0

your job prospects is wider. Geoscientists as well as a Reservoir Specialist
