It’s no secret the waves and highs that is been achieved by music producers in the country. From old heads such as JJC, Suspect and Don Jazzy. To more recent success stories in Masterkraft, Sarz and Pheels.
All stories have been cliché, at least for the beginning part of it, which gave us the idea to draw up a list for the top 10 tips to become a top producer.
1. Learn an instrument - This is the basic for any upcoming producer, to be able to play and produce quality sound from an instrument. Preferably the Keyboard or the acoustic guitar. Understanding of basic chord progressions and aural training.
2. Know your style/genre – For early works it is quite important for a producer to pick a genre, this choice is usually encouraged by the kind of music that the producer is mostly familiar with.
