kodeya: Here is the gist... Um, u owe mumsy n popsy 49naira each making 98naira u owe in total N u av 1naira in ur pocket.. U bought the shirt 97naira.. Now d error is the addition of the 1naira to d debt u r owing... You OWN 1naira n U r OWING 98naira... 1naira is with you presently.. 98naira is the debt u r in presently.. In other words, if u decide to pay back all your debt... You either; Sell the cloth (97naira) n add the 1naira with you to pay ur parent the money u owe them (98naira) OR You give your mom d 1naira with you(cuz mothers are generally liable to keep asking you...lol).. After which you would b oweing her 48naira... Then sell the cloth, 97naira... Give ur mom her 48naira n ur dad (ofcourse he might not want to collect it again...lol..) 49naira that u owe him...shikina! NOTE: its the same thing just different analogy... Summary: The debt u av procured is 98naira which is also what u worth (the shirt 97naira + the 1naira with u) n can b paid back ! Hence the missing naira is with u... 1 Like |

kodeya: Your missing 1naira wasn't actually 1naira but a fraction 0.5naira which you erroneously rounded up to n1 hence the illusory error. Your parents gave you n50 each and you bought the shirt n97 . You have n3 change. You have your parents n1 each leaving you with n1. The money you have to pay your parents back is 97/2 which is n48.5 and not n49. 48.5+ 48.5= n97 which is the amount you bought the shirt. You share the change among your parents. Keep none. That's n1.5 each. Nothing with you. When you get the n97 back you give them n48.5 each. So the change has a fraction and the paid back money has a fraction. N48.5 plus n1.5 = n50 . Done. |

Teempakguy: Lemme give it a try. That should be equal to 2^987/2^986.. The 2s will cancel each other and 986 will be subtracted from 987 according to the law of indices. Answer =1. Shey I get am? |
Re: The Sciences Discussion Thread. by Nobody: 8:02am On Jul 14, 2015 |
Teempakguy:2^987 - 2^986 2^(986 + 1) - 2^986(1) 2^986 * 2 - 2^986(1) 2^986(2 -1) Ans = 2^986 |

Re: The Sciences Discussion Thread. by dejt4u(m): 9:44am On Jul 14, 2015 |
Teempakguy:we will first apply the law of indices, the we factorize.. 2987 - 2986 = (2986 x 21) - (2986 x 20), = 2986(21 - 20), = 2986(2 - 1), = 2986 |

^^^ you're welcome. In other news, I would like to ask a very important question. I would like to invite my niggas jarizod and scentmarlc who are IT experts, to answer this, Why is Nigerian internet so slow? Everybody, come and listen to these ogas oh. We need answers. 2 Likes |
Re: The Sciences Discussion Thread. by dejt4u(m): 10:23pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
Teempakguy:'cos naija is a third world country.. We got no modern satellite in space to boost our communication system network.. All our satellites launched into space are complete waste of time(they are only meant for measuring atmospheric variables to predict weather for the purpose of agric, flood control etc).. In Nigeria, we dont invest in advance tech..so our govt is contented wit our internet speed(which is as slow as a snail).. NCC have bin shouting 'broadband' since the time immemorial with nothing to show for it.. In the real sense, 3G in naija is no G in developed countries..lol |

You can't talk about Science without making mention of Technology. They both go together. NCC is just a lame duck. And our leaders are not keen on making Nigeria a developed nation. Until Nigeria invest on Satellite Communication for Internet services, all these money-sucking telecom providers coys will continue to milk us. |
