LWKMD.

Ruggedman's "Ebemsi".

-I don't need no intro, even a 5 year old got my info.
-People respect me like Bob Marley, that's why them they follow me like say we dey go rally.

Na Flavour wey salvage that song. Like maggi, stick Flavour for any terrible song and e go sweet.

Timaya "Feeling So Fly"

-Feeling like a lion monkey, monkey with too much money.

Ehmm @Ogugua88 nothing wrong with the Ruggedman's line u posted i beg, you could say 'simple', basic but far from being posted here sha. grin As for Timaya, hehehe lipsrsealed

I'm so cool with this thread but I also want you to know that I'm a Nigerian and UK born gospel artist. I reside in the UK but currently on tour with my new album in Nigeria. The album was produced and mixed in the UK. I do need some advice on how to market the album. You can get more info on my website; www.patricksiokwu.com or add me on facebook; Patrick Siokwu
You can also get a hard-copy

Maybe so. I hated Ruggedman's delivery of those lines. It sounded quite childish.

opensesame: Truth is, most Nigerian artistes have no business writing songs.

You see, there is an art known as songwriting. There are people who can't sing or perform, but are blessed with the writing gift and so, they do just that and sell it to singers/rappers. People like R.Kelly, Ne-Yo, Dianne Warren to name a few are successful songwriters who have written for numerous artistes.

But, most Nigerian artistes are too DUMB to realise that they are not good enough, so they irritate our ears with wacky, digusting, kindergarten rhymes. angry angry

The sooner they realise that people are listening and reading their lyrics, the better.

Didn't want to mention any names or songs, but i just have to give honour to whom honour is due,

Dbanj, P-square, Idris are a few of the many unsongwriters, special shout out to J-martin's good or bad's first verse, stinks to high heavens! I won't even bother paying tribute to the many upcomin acts that need to switch careers fast!

Thankfully, there are some good folks doing us proud, Asa, T.Y Bello, M.I, thumbs up guyz!

Morale of this , you dont have to be a singer-songwriter, Please.
please is anyone forgetting that Konga guy, he never makes sense.
