Cant believe he was just 69 , I like his music, though I grew up in the east . Rest in peace sir .

Many newspapers wrongly reported that he was 69, but he was actually over 80 years old.

As a child, my father told me a lot about this man. Funny enof my never father understood Hausa language but he loved this man. I started liking him also. In 2008, I was privileged to be in Plateau state and I made up my mind to see him and Panam Parcy Paul. I saw them, took pix with them. It was really an experience.

RIP Dan Maraya JOS.

@OP, the man is not 69yrs check ur records pls cos as at 2008 he looked more than 69.

yea cos ozoemena nsugbe once mentioned him as his elder in one of his songs, ozoemena died some years back at the age of 70 something.
