To say that some civilizations documented something similar to the jews is either the worse form of ignorance or the worst form of dishonesty on your part.

First, the sumerian civilizations predated the hebrew wanderings with about 5000 solid years.

The Egyptian civilization by same or even more yrs.

Babylonian civilization by at least 2000 yrs.

We also read from the bible that Abraham, father Of the hebrews was a citizen of sumerian civilization.

And also that hebrews spent a whopping 400 yrs on Egypt.

And wandered for 40 or more years in Canaan.

And also that same hebrews spent 75 years in Babylon.

Knowing all this, and then saying that another civilization may have possesed, by chance, the same myths as is found in the bible, display a very rare form of either cognitive dissonance or plain dishonesty.

The hebrews were simply master plagerists, who just did simple substitution of their tribal fetish god, yahweh, for the dieties of Ancient Summer, Egypt, Canaan and Babylon.

The rest, they say, is history.

Or just vagrant stupidity.
