you will most definitely need a PhD with sufficient/impressive number of publications in high impact journals. that will do the magic. dont despair on the 2:2, you can always compensate for that. All the best. |

Hello Pointg: With your qualifications you can very well get a role as graduate assistant (or some other) in any university in Nigeria and also get a job in related field. The only problen being opportunity/chance. OAU and the new Beni american university are currently recruiting. Nemston (I doubt this spelling) an environmental cusultancy firm in Port Harcourt is currently recruiting. Use google and check them out for related job openings. Most importantly be of good cheer and build your faith. All the best! |

In Nigerian Universities grading system, I don't think there is anything like 2.2 in MSc? I know its either you are awarded distinction (4.0 and above) or Pass (2.5-3.9) or fail. So there is nothing like 2.2 in Msc. You should be talking about PhD grade which varies according to Schools. Some schools accept 3.5 and above for PhD, while some like UNILAG accepts 4.0 and above. Otherwise, you have to do Mphil before PhD. |
