A 22-year-old woman from Honduras has been arrested at Columbia airport after X-ray scans revealed cocaine in her breast implants. The female drug mule was arrested with 1.5kg (3.1.5 3lb) of liquid cocaine in her breast implants as she tried to board a flight from Bogota the Colombian capital to Barcelona in Spain.

Paola Deyanira Sabillon was said to have aroused suspicion with the size of her breast and her apparent nervousness while on the security line at Eldorado international airport. Police Colonel Diego Rosero told pressmen that Paola was searched and X-ray scans revealed she had recently undergone surgery on her breast. Sabillon confessed that an unknown substance was implanted which she was meant to take to Barcelona.

Further inquires showed that the surgery took place at a clandestine clinic in the city of Pereira, western Colombia. The implants were removed at a Bogota hospital where Sabillon was also being treated for an infection. About 300 tonnes of cocaine is said to be produced in Colombia yearly.
