In a recent article published by
punch, Mr Azuka Onwuka made an
opinion stating that Nigeria may
never defeat the boko haram group.
He said facing reality is better than
positive thinking. Reminding
nigerians of the pre-election
promises and recent visits to
neighbouring african countries of
president Muhammadu Buhari to
tackle the insurgency and how the
boko haram group seem to have
gained the upper hand following
recent bombings. Further stating that
the inability to achieve victory over
the group doesn't mean
incompetence of nigerian leaders,
but rather shows Nigeria is yet to
learn the art of guerilla warfare, as
the terrorist group has no rule of
engagement. He lastly added the
need to disseminate messages
against religious extremism and to
have hope as necessary to combat
boko haram terrorism.
