Footballers love flashy cars, big mansions and nice lifestyles, but to get all these, they rely on bumper deals and contracts. But Ivory Coast and Roma player, Gervinho though has gone for something a little different and obscure as he looks to seal a deal to UAE club, Al-Jazira.

Earlier in the month, it was reported that Roma had reached an agreement with Al-Jazira over the transfer of Gervinho. The Emirati club were reportedly paying the Roma 13 million euros for the player.

Roma, who were keen on using this sum on a host of their transfer targets. However, Gervinho made some absurd demands prior to signing with the club that put an end to the move.

Gervinho signed a four-year deal with the club worth 13 million euros but made one demand too many.

Davide Stoppini of Gazetta dello Sport, released a report yesterday listing the winger’s demands.

The former Arsenal winger requested that the club gave him a helicopter and a private beach. In addition to this, the player requested regular airline tickets from the Ivory Coast for his family over the course of his time with the club.

Al-Jazira, however, deemed his requests too many and decided to call the move off. Given the player’s demands so early in his Al-Jazira career, the Emirati club believed he would cause too many problems.

Gervinho is now expected to return to Roma’s training camp in Trigoria on July 5th. Roma, however, still intend to sell the player.
