The 1.2kva is better than the 650Va, still on testing mode sha So far so good , my 12v 1.2kva ups is working ok, it doesn't over heat, when I was using the 650va I couldn't put on my 32inch led TV. Os in 30mins the ups starts beeping "overload" I then have to switch to my 15inch TV, I can't put on my 15inch and laptop at same time cos it will start beeping "overload" but this 1.2kva was on, no cooling fan installed and it powered my led TV with no overload beeping sound and worked for more than 5hrs, some nairalanders sef dey use 1.55kva ups and I dey make noise for ordinary 1.2kva ups, its working perfectly, the switch I installed is now on led light which just blinks slow , even if I switch it back to beep, the beep sef is very low cos I used celotape to cover the top of the beeper, u will hardly hear it beep sef
please what brand is your 1.2kva ups and what they of wave does it produce.

Its always good to seek professional guidelines when going solar .. DIY is good but has its limitations especially for those who ain't technically inclined ! I actually started from a 20a pwm solar controller to a 40a mppt epsolar and advanced to 60a itracer mppt which takes cares of all basic loads in my house 24h/7days weekly .. Below is a short video clip on how my solar set-up trickle charges on a rainy day : solar is indeed unique & efficient smiley

If you're using it in Nigeria, let's assume the fixed voltage would be 220v. The power rating would be (voltage *amps). In your case, this would give you 220V*2A= 440 watts.
thanks abunch guys I appreciate
Penuelseun:
220v × 2A = 440 × 0.8(efficiency)= 352watts

that is a really high power consumption

I'll have to increase my power bank

and by the way, what is the volt reading of a power bank when it is fully charged

thanks abunch for the video clip

I plan to upgrade my setup next year but 1 thing has been bugging me
is it a must that 1 must use an Inverter with a CC
can't I just connect the solar panels to a CC then to the power bank and from the same CC again to my apartment

Nice job you guys are doing here. Keep it up. Please I am new here but I will like to know if i can power up a chest freezer with just 1 unit inverter battery ?

Thanks for the compliment Ma! Pls you are doin more harm than good if you run a freezer with just 1 battery unit .. Yes we have 12v 2000w pure sinewave inverters in market, but I strongly advice clients who must use 12v 2kw inverter systems to use it with either 2v 500ah-1000ah×6 batteries or 6v 410a×2 flooded batteries etc ..

Kindly call me for a more detailed analysis ! Thanks

If you are running a DC load set-up, you are good to go.. We integrate with inverter solely for DC-AC pure/modified sinewave conversion . cheers !

sorry about my questions, I like making things simple
because I lazy wella

what if I get am hybrid Inverter that has both the functions of a CC and an Inverter built together in 1.

do I still need any other thing aside
connecting the solar panels to the hybrid Inverter then to the power bank and my apartment is connected to the hybrid Inverter

why and saying this, is because I a guy advertising an hybrid Inverter which he claims to be 1.5kva 20a in-built charger, 50a CC, digital display on this same Nairaland, he also claims it's very rugged funny enough people are not talking about it on his tread, except only him for more than 3 pages

You don't get upto 95% efficiency when you use a combined solar-inverter system ... I have seen so many aching faults in various sites I have been to.. If your set up is very small and you dobgy have very sensitive loads , you can patronise hybrid inverters like prag, voltron, powerstar hybrid, gennex, ipower plus etc .. All mentioned are hybrid inverters with inbuilt pwm/mppt , most might claim "pure sinewave" but under close observation, you deduce it's square - modified wave form... Most times , clients simply call me for a more detailed briefing as i might not always be online .. Cheers!

u can now use yr electric blender on ur 1.2kva and above bluegate ups inverter setup,
never mind the wattage of the blender, blenders grind food stuffs like tomatoes for 30sec or 60secs,
please don't use it to grind a big basket of tomatoes for party,
its just for little thing u want to cook for the family,
some blenders are 200w-450w, so u can now use to blend yr cray fish, tomatoes, peppers or egusi,
enjoy yr daily meal and u don't need to run out and start looking for where to blend yr food items
,
one last thing.........
don't forget to dish my own food too o

Hello Pal, do not encourage such with a "modified sinewave inverter"... Pure sinewave inverters or UPS is the best for blenders, electric ceiling/standing fans etc for longetivity sake .. Cheers !
