Dogara's Standpoint On People's Supremacy In Nigerian Politics - The Truth by trinidad(m): 1:04am On Jul 08, 2015
It is a known fact that generally in politics power truly is vested in the people but often times people are not allowed to dictate the pace or set the tone of leadership for themselves in Africa. The self-made leaders would often take the bull by the horn regardless people's interest to get into position of power by force because they know sincere opinions may count against their selfish desires. My submission about the recent debacle in the legislative arm of govt of Nigeria is that we have a set of people that are too ambitious with a load of personal pursuit at the back of their minds giving rise to political plots amongst the legislators in order to achieve an inordinate ambition. I appreciate but marvel at the statement of Speaker Dogara who is a defectee of PDP to the ruling party that supremacy belongs to the people and no longer the party. A number of people have praised the speaker for this assertion but his display of democratic values and intelligence seems to come rather too late. If supremacy belongs to the people as it should be then he as a person should have championed this course by seeking his re-election under the less popular parties like APGA,KOWA,LABOUR etc to test his popularity. This gesture would certainly give credence to his assertion of people's supremacy ahead of party if he was able win re-election. The truth of the matter is that PDP was no longer popular and he quickly hung himself on APC which had gained so much popularity and trust (not that the speaker himself was trustworthy) to win re-election. Today he his telling another story having reaped freely where he did not sow. Party was supreme before election but people were supreme after election. My position is that supremacy belongs to God and vested in His people but a fair number of people called politicians have hijacked the said supremacy altogether AND Dogara is one of the hijackers. Nigerians are smarter and wiser than the sudden promoters of people's supremacy. We do not need to be told what we know.

ok God is Supreme but He uses people & organisations.
Smart politicians know people are feeble and can easily be misled. For the last election, APC controlled ‘believable‘ media up north and only fools felt they could help the people by joining lesser known parties.
Ask my Nasarawa ex-minister, ex-governorship aspirant.

Not every post is a news item that needs source or sauce. Above is opinoin of op though referencing where the Speaker made the statement could be useful for those who had not heard or read it.

If this administration fail, will these same PDP agents accept individual politicians to be responsible? Or will it be APC that has failed?

All I see in Dogara's comment is a greedy posture to circumnavigate our collective revolution for personal gain. APC as a party will be blamed or praised depending on the outcome of this administration.

But one thing is certain, Buhari's Administration will be better than Jonathan's. Replay it a 1000 times, I will still support and vote Buhari over Jonathan.

TANoids and other Agents of the Coven can cry all they like, it is Sai Buhari all the way!

GrandDad Buhari must have been wishing for the good ol days of military regime. That small boy Dogara would have been cooling off inside guard room by now.
