A group of aviation stakeholders under the umbrella of the “League of Patriotic Aviation Practitioners of Nigeria” have described Ahmed Joda’s transition committee’s recommendation of merging debt-ridden airlines operating in Nigeria into a national carrier as an invitation to crisis.

The group also said the proposal would entrench monopoly and the elimination of competition which would ultimately lead to inefficiencies and corruption.
