Stamping is a better alternative to interlocking stones.

These are some of the advantages over interlocking stones:

2. Does not sink as against interlocked stones that sink.
3. Does not accommodate weeds like interlocked stones,hence does not need maintanance.

It can be dine with epoxyl and hardener. It can also be done with red cement and It can be painted with a special paint too to make it more beautiful. Below are few samples of our works.

The materials needed are the following:

2. Granite (or gravel stones if you can't afford granite)
3. Cement.

I know I will need sand as well to bed the interlocking stones but providing sand, granite/gravel and cement as well as 1,000/sqm labour is outrageous. It would work out to be more expensive than Interlocking.

Also,you haven't mentioned that the patterns or impressions you stamp on the concrete usually wear away with time. Colors usually fade away as well, at least for the ones I've seen.

I also don't agree with your choice of using gravel over granite. This might be the only reason why your costs may be at par. Granite is cleaner and I believe binds better. You may even have to use a greater amount of cement in your mixing ratio to achieve some semblance of a cement:sand:granite mix.

Please respond. I am interested in your response. Is the N1,000 with or without materials?

Please understand that in every profession there are always better ways to do things (which most times are more expensive).

Our aim is to show that it can be done on a low budget. If you want it done in a higher grade way,then you will need to spend more.

We can use granite no doubt,in fact we pray to even use it as one of our material but that doesn't also mean we can't use a reasonably cheaper one like the gravel.

And as for the fading away of the paint,we actually do not use paints per say,it is epoxyl and floor hardener which have a longer lasting and smoother effect. That doesn't also mean it can't be done without it.

Our charges are not high as compared to interlock stones. We charge 1k,but we also know that the value we give is worth more than that amount.

Please also understand this is not a thread to bash interlock stones contractors as we do it also,we are only bringing out a new way to do things which every flexible businessman should adopt.

And yes pls, the 1000naira is for only labor(mixing,casting and designing).

Please understand that for every field,there is always a standard. That doesn't mean it is not negotiable. We believe in the law of the higher the quantity,the lesser the price. I think that says it all.

The stamping is not that bad, but I feel it can't be as neat and straight as d interlockin, and with ur 1000 per msq, it may as well be costlier than d interrlocking.

They weren't meant to blow up your skirt pls,instead to show the ordinary man he can achieve something better than what he must have budgeted with lesser materials. We can do higher ones with better designs like that of the poster above me. We can also do better.

Again you can't compare the neatness of stamping to interlock. They are on different pedestals. Some stamping for the ordinary(just like the ones I posted)can look rough and not striking enough but that doesn't mean the same job done with better materials can't beat interlock in neatness and straightness. It will beat it any day anytime and still stand the test of time. The difference is in the materials.

sure, he is right i could show ur a picture of a stamped floor thats far sweeter than interlock. stamping is another sweeter ways of designing floors as its cost effective and can be easily managed.
