Hello young film production peeps.
Just wondering and thought to share my thoughts.
We know that making money from our productions is one of the biggest challenges we have . And as a result of this we have become egg layers for iroko TV and African magic as they throw some little change at us and we accept it gratefully. The ripple effect of this is that we can't afford to make films in better conditions, or pay the cast and crew well , can't attract investors and we can't make better films because of the cost implications.

My thoughts presently is this, considering our high population and equally high unemployment level, why can't we kill two birds with one stone ?

Why can't a person become a private distributor focusing on a particular state of residence or a local govt?

What's your job? choose a movie greatly to your appeal, partner with the producer, charter a bus, employ a few hands, go around town/state selling copies of the DVD. Sell until everyone has a copy of said movie. You make money, producer makes money, everyone is happy.

What do you guys think?
