That landlord should be investigated. No sane man will leave a well opened like that even when u're not told. I guess, that well is a deathtrap and for him for have buried the boy alone.. Its another thing which calls for urgent investigation..

I notice that so many commentators are simply typing RIP without considering the core of the matter and that is our collective consciousness about SAFETY. The well is a death trap and if the fact that it needs be raised and covered or filled/sealed up completely misses our attention, then we have lost the sense of basic safety. Every time we see a news report about a fatal accident somewhere, a container falling on a car killing all, or any other thing that claims people's lives, we just type RIP as if nothing happened. I challenge us to look at our environment and change our perception so that we can PREVENT rather than Blame someone and pass by with chains of RIP on our trail.
