I work in a parastatal and going by the organizational structure I have a lot of superiors.
When it comes to social media,I believe I have a right to who I should choose and relate with as friends.
But there's this top officer that came to challenge me in my unit that I refuse to accept her friend request.
I was forced to do so.My question is is it ideal to relate with one's boss on the social media?

I would say that a professional relationship should exist between you and your boss especially because you both are of the opposite gender. Some bosses would want to show their employees that they are not as uptight as they think they are and hence, a move beyond professionalism. Since she is your boss, don't disrespect her in any way on social media and watch as things unfold. Keep it professional as much as you can unless you both decide to take it to another level

From my observation she was trying to disabuse my mind about what we think of her cos we all see her as 'Margaret Thatcher'
