Highly delicious, simply nutritious. Common during the rainy season when it flies outta d ground and quickly losses its wings so pple can catch it.
Alas, people these days will tell you its unhygenic, its local bla bla bla.
We prefer processed food and chemicals all in d name of food. Little wonder strange illnesses abound.

abi oooo, God bless ur brain. I reather eat diz dan mr biggs chicken

Óunje Igbo shocked Sukkot, you sabi chop this one?
BUAHAHAHA bros you know I cant eat that nonsense. although I have to admit that when you are in nigeria you meet so many sick people, but you dont know they are sick, you think they are normal, until you step away from the situation and observe it from a vantage point then you start to appreciate how sick some people are. i say all that to say that when I was in boarding school in nigeria, I met a few fellows who collect these insects and eat them, and once I was enticed by these fellows to try it and i did. but i wasnt in my right mind back then. and i only tried it once and had just a tiny bit. so yeah, peer pressure will make you do some things. will i be convinced to try it now ? hell nahhhhhh tongue

I nearly kept vigil for d poor creatures two nights ago only for them to appear after 2 a.m. when I have gone to sleep. I woke up yesterday to see their feather scattered all round my "dormot". I tell u those little creatures sweet die. Still patiently waiting for them to appear again, I swear they won't escape.

Oh, gone at those days when I used to stay out late in the night to catch them. They do come out in the night any time there is a rainfall in the morning or day time.
The Yoruba name is esunsun but we called it chin ge in hausa language.

You guys wont leave termites to enjoy their nuptial flight abi.
Re: Season Of Aku. Do You Eat It by Nobody: 1:21pm On Jul 23, 2015
I think I should forward this to the necessary authorities. You should be preserving nature instead of indiscrimate killing. Those insects come out in their season to mate and you just kill them. Already termites seems to be dwindling in number in prominent areas.

Somebody has to checkmate incidence like this. We need to be preserving our ecosystem.
