Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola is ill at ease at the moment. It is common knowledge that a few weeks ago there was an attempt to snuff life out of the multi-millionaire, whose business interests include Zenon Petroleum and Gas, African Petroleum Plc to mention a few.

Reports have it that Paul Yakubu, who‘s Otedola‘s butler, on receiving a phone call, met with a certain Mr. Abdul at the car park of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja. It was there he was allegedly presented with a bottle whose contents were described as poison and an incentive of $50,000.

He was said to have been instructed to lace his boss food and drink intermittently with the toxin. As a substitute to implementing the plot, Yakubu squealed to Kazeem Otaru, one of Otedola‘s managers, who in turn alerted his boss.

While investigations on the hazy plot are in progress, the disconcerted high flying tycoon jetted out of the country, apparently as a result of the frightening disclosure.

Otedola, whose business acumen is favourably ranked with that of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has taken up temporary residence in the United Kingdom in anticipation of the outcome of the probe. Prior to the unfolding conspiracy, Otedola had been scripted to be a guest at a book launch – The First City Group: A Monument built by God to commemorate Otunba Subomi Balogun‘s 75th birthday.

The Chief Operating Officer of AP Plc, Tunde Falasinnu, who stood in for Otedola, in an impromptu speech delivered at the gathering publicly acknowledged that Otedola‘s discernible absence could not be isolated from the attempt on his life and had decided to relocate overseas, though temporarily.
