To God be the glory, on the 25th July, 2015, we unveiled an online marketplace; www.agromechant.com- #1 Nigeria agro-marketplace. People have started placing orders only in packs and minimum orders of some products like ofada rice, puupuru, coconuts, watermelon, cucumber, livestock and bulk orders for now. You can also place retail order. Also, place bulk order or wholesale by filing the bulk supply order form on the home page. Our present clients are schools and individuals and more clients are emerging. Wok and partner with us on this startup.

I totally agree with the cliché that said; a business not pumped with innovations and creativity will soon die. Agricultural has been put to the backlog not because it is not profitable but it is seen as a poor man’s job and not a worthwhile profession.

Over the years, people celebrate and pour encomiums on some professions above the others mainly because they were seen as foreign jobs-they call them white collar jobs while the local expertise practicing farming were relegated. Agriculture was not referred to as white collar jobs, it is viewed as dirty And for the shattered but ironically, it is the sole supplier of the food we eat, raw materials for shelter, clothing, medicine, drinks, therapies and beauty coy, and more than 70% of everything we utilize on earth, still it is seen as a poor man business. Fallacy!

Call agriculture anything; blue-chips, poor man profession or dirty, it has come to stay and salvage the world of hunger, insecurity, unclothedness and unemployment. To me it is a pure applied natural science and epitomized with dignity.
Invariably, over the years, what could have happen to the only venture that feeds man and allow other profession and services to thrive? The answer is not farfetched and has been discovered; “Traditional way of practicing Agriculture”. Everything about agriculture, planting, harvesting, storage, processing, packaging, and marketing has been traditional and now it is archaic and obsolete.

The practices our forefathers were used to are still invoke and is still in use by our rural farmers. Rural farmers still use colanut leaf to wrap plantain and plantain leaf to wrap colanut for ripening and storage. Generally, they still see agriculture has farming and a developmental cum sustenance venture. It has gone beyond that but thanks to them for sustaining the indigenous knowledge. There is always rooms for improvement and modifications. Is it not paradoxical how Nigeria consumers are living on waters but very thirsty? A solution is fast-approaching!

Today technology has improved a lot of things in which agriculture is no exception. Technology has changed the way the world see and do things including our daily transactions and relationship.
Though Africa is still lagging behind in some of this technological advancement but a lot of technological transformation is surfacing and we have begun to embrace these initiatives, one of them is selling and buying on the internet without necessarily seeing the people involved.

Agriculture is now an agribusiness with massive value additions and chains. Productions and processing are taking shape gradually in Nigeria and Africa but the marketing structure for agricultural produce and inputs is still poor and abrasive. This singular problem which is giving farmers and new emerging agropreneurs nightmares birthed a new and an integrated marketplace; Agromerchant Online Agro-marketplace. It is designed on the spatial space and internet cloud with a Url; www.agromerchant.com- Nigeria first comprehensive one-stop agro-marketplace.

Agromerchant is collapsing gradually the traditional and scattered markets as it stands to be a panacea to consumers and agro-users years of agonizing experience searching for varieties of agro-produce and services.
