You would have to search your heart for what interested you to it in the first place. If you had a strong interest in it, then you're not gonna lose that interest. Even if you do, it can be re-ignited.

A vital lesson I learned today from a Japanese!

I had gone to the office to see colleague from another department. I didn't meet him in his office. Instead I met a Japanese, facing his system, backing me. He didn't see me initially. Fascinated by his glue to the system, I stood over 10 minutes behind him.

Throughout that period of my standing, he never for once looked either hos left or right. He was simply glued to his system. He's one of the guys replacing our old DCS with new ones.

One of my other colleagues told me the guy won't leave his seat, unless it's for break or a visit to the restroom.

I simply walked away knowing I had to increase my dedication to my job. I need to reduce side talks and instead be FOCUSED and DEDICATED on my duty. If we must achieve success in any trade or job, we must give our ALL and BEST to it. Success must become an obsession if we must make it.

That's the vital lesson for today. Our desires and goals must get us so obsessed with them that we hardly have spare moments for unnecessary things.

I first read Attitude is Everything around 2012. It's almost the same thing as Stephen Coveys First Habit.

It's a good book. And procrastination accounts so many failures in the world.

I'm still reading Leading An inspired life by Jim Rohn.

Well people who read books tend to spend more time at it and less at unproductive activities in addition to the knowledge they acquire. You cannot read in disorderliness so where a person sits an read, there's order. Recently I read in Romania, free train rides being given to those who read on it. I guess that's to encourage more people to read.

It's really encouraging, an initiative of a book lover himself and gladly the mayor of that city bought into it. Though it lasted for a short while, it did make a great impact.

One day we're gonna get there ourselves. We just need to influence and make nation builders with the knowledge of true leadership and capacity building.

I'm currently making some arrangements to share some thought on personal development with some undergraduates very soon. I'm so passionate about their getting free what I paid and spent years to get. When you get a vision as this, you can hardly keep it to yourself.

That will be a great day. Many of us are living well below our endowments and hopes. We barely exist.

Without doubts, focus is indeed an integral part of the course to success. The question remains how possible is it for one to be really focused and concentrate in a country where we find it hard to make ends meet?

For example, as a student, I want to pass out with good grades in school, at the same time I have to find means to sponsor my education with my "Camera handling" skill.

To come out with good grades in school, I have to focus on studying hard.

To succeed as a camera handler or someone who earns his living through it and also wants to be th best at it; it also requires my focus.

Now, how can one strike the balance, how can FOCUS be practised in reality? Any insight please?
