I don't know what to say, but next week I am replacing engine, transmission and brain box. It's just not a durable vehicle... especially the one I have, it's been one month one trouble and one expensive trip to the mechanic.
To think I bought it for my wife . Now I am in the market for an RX 300, maybe I will be luckier. I will try to sell mine after the engine change, even if I see 900k I will fling it.

So you might want to reconsider
Why not go for a corolla

When people visit kazeem and neglect what they are supposed to do, then a car packs up. the Rx300 is a solid car because the engine is same as toyota sienna, toyota avalon of equal year, modification is the difference. The Rav 4 the op is looking at has a factory brain box defect which can be fixed permanently if the op meets the right person.

people neglect the basics so kazeem does what will benefit his pocket, I see 2012 to 2015 cars and I see kazeem pouring mobile xhp 20W50 the recent one was a 3rd generation Honda CR-V I marvel, dextron II made by season into a bank type wagon 2003 20007 toyota corolla and you expect the gear not to fail.

I bought my toyota sienna 2000 with 300,000km on it, two years after I have not changed a damn thing on it, and the engine accelerates like a demon. That engine is a solid one, if it packs up, then either your friend bought a lemon or isn't maintenance friendly.

when a well maintained car falls in the hands of someone willing to maintain it, then no problem and mind you even with the high mileage, I still use 5W40 against 5W30 recommended and the car has never ever dissapointed me.

300,000 mileage doesnt mean anything cos a car of 20 years and u expect 100k mileage. Most car of 20 years is having mileage above 180k but our dealer normally roll back d mileage to be able to sell d car with good price
