Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for 2015/2016 session.
The exam will be a CBT exam and candidates will be tested on 100 questions of which English language is compulsory. A minimum score of about 50% is advisable to gain entry into the program. Aspiring Pre-degree students and ex-predites can interact here and share important ideas about the program.
Eligibility:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 O’Level Credits in 5 subjects at a maximum of two sittings including English Language (for ALL Courses), Mathematics (for Science-based and Social
Science-based Courses) and Literature-in-English (for Law).
Programme Description:
The programme is an intensive coaching curriculum which aims at ensuring adequate exposure to fundamentals of concepts and preparation of eligible students
for University admission and a good head-start for University work. The courses of study which are those of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects include English Language which is compulsory for all students, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Economics, Geography,
Government, English Literature and Religious Studies. Students are required to choose three subjects in addition to English.
An overall score of 60% and above in the examinations and continuous assessment (comprising regular tests, assignments and the end of Contact period
examination) is required to be qualified for consideration for admission into Year 1 of the relevant degree programmes of the University. Admission is based strictly on merit and entry requirements and in proportion to the admission quota of the University for the various Faculties.
Students are admitted into the Pre-Degree Programme under the following broad options and subject combinations:

Evening. Sorry if this is coming late. The cut-off points for the entrance exam varies. It was very low last year, but it has always been around 39-59. In a room, you can't be less than 50 depending on your center. God bless.

if u're a girl...expect to be 4 per room but if u're male, it could be 2,3,4...10 per room. It depends on ur hostel

Well that's good. Hope you're preparing well for your entrance exams? It's going to be very easy if you put God first and read hard. I see you're applying for medicine. I am optimistic that you'll finally be admitted for the course. Just keep asking your questions here and tell your friends on nairaland to use this thread oh. contrary to that...pre-degree gives you an unparalleled opportunity to enter oau. If you have 60% in ur final exams, u Can be rest assured that u will be offered a course in oau.. But if u want to have ur 'dream' course, then u may need to meet the cut off mark which will be set for such mark. For example, the cut off for medicine this last set is 82.1% while the one for the set before d last was 80%

but everyone that score 60% and above are guaranteed of admission.
