I am a proud student of NOUN the first time l went into the exam hall l was amazed that all l was thought and learnt was left between me and my computers. No room for cheating no room for asking your neighbour or spying his answers all totally different. WYWIWYG (what you write is what you get)
I spent my life fighting for this country as a soldier and finally voluntarily disengaged from service and got an opportunity to work and learn and some nice guys are posting negative things about Noun? This is unfair, let's remember bill gate, mark Zuckerberg and others the institution you attend does not necessarily determines your success your success is determined by you.
Today am proud of my self as not just an ex soldier but a CEO of a reputable security industry and also a criminologist student of NOUN.
I was privilege to interview some applicant seeking top post in my company l was so disappointed with the outcome and they went to excellent schools here in Nigeria
YOUR DESTINY IS IN YOUR HANDS NOT THE INSTITUTION YOU WENT TO.
Be wise and send your negative ego to grave yard.

I LAUGH AT UR POST AGAINST NOUN .....I MUST CONFESS THIS IS THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF IGNORANT I HAVE SEEN....TOWARDS AN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM...

I CAN SEE WERE UR ANGER IS VIBRATING FROM
THE FACT THAT U CAN'T AFFORD TO GO TO NOUN DUE TO FEES SHOULDN'T HINDER YOU FROM RESEARCHING THE TRUTH ABOUN BEFORE VENTING UR ANGER....
I understand ur situation.....every NOUN student I have ever met carries and manifest the attitude of a great researchers.... Very sharp and fluent and well compose

Because I believe they believe and understand the independent use of their brain Instead of sorting lecturers cheating to pass exams as been practice in a conventional school.... A lot of these universities has been turn into business center's....but my joy is they are few serious student among them who still believe in personal study just like noun student

please, any time you are comparing conventional institution and NOUN and you don't have the experience of these institution please don't start unnecessary and unwarranted comparison. I have attended both and I will say it anytime, anyday if you are not a brilliant students don't apply for Noun whereas if you are a weak or seriously weak students you can still survived your so called bribery and corrupt conventional university. what you don't know is greater than you.

You can imagine the kind of management the school is having, No attempt is ever made to debunk or confirm these serious allegations by the National close sorry Open University. They don't care at all ,the best they will keep saying is the millions of inactive matric number which they are referring to as students as their trophy. What a citadel of fraud ,wiping out student registration fees and credit balances in portal ,all in the name of changing portal name.

What I have seen here is arrogant display of ignorance. Some people are still too warped that they don't know education is evolving, they still want the same old and familiar system. People that thinm a certificate is a certificate only when you tip lecturers and walk from department to department trying to sort out one course. The world is moving black people

If it is the same NOUN that I know, being banned from NYSC isn't really a big deal. Lots of their students graduate when they are too old for NYSC anyways.

Shout out the university though, for helping me with my course materials for 4 years of school

The thirst for Intellectual development varies from man to man. If you put some people for MIT. if they don't have quest for knowledge nothing can be done to change that. Lies, bullshit and nothing but bullshit! Now let me dissect the OP's point one after the other. So? Who needs NYSC in the first place. Many can argue that the programme is a complete waste of time which could be put into better use either going for a Masters, acquiring required professional experience or learning some necessary vocational training that would better aid your hustling once you are done with school. In fact, our friends that didn't partake in the so called NYSC seem to be better off than us as they had a year start over we that went for service
Then why do students of other schools cause riots at any single opportunity available to them if not for the same reason you are pointing out here. Corruption is rife in almost every educational institution in this country, I see no reason why you are singling NOUN out as if others are Saint and they (NOUN) are the inventor of sin. So 500 students cramped in one class like sardine is any better? undecided stop pointing accusing fingers if you ain't holy yourself. Same old bullshit another big fat lie! Believe me when I tell you this, no other institution in this country have students with experience than NOUN. In fact the school was created for those with experience. That's what it stands for, that's what it is. I am a graduate of one of the conventional universities and till today I am yet to collect a dime for 3 months hard labor I put in industrial Training 5 years ago. Lies! Materials are readily available in the school, dunno where you are getting this junk from.complete baloney!
Still trying to comprehend what this crap means? Come back with a better write-up once you have done a better research and you fully understand what the school stands for.

Sorry to say bro, u talk like an illiterate. D use of d classroom cannot b overemphasized. That's where interactions with a teacher or lecturer or with someone advanced in a particular field than u. Imagine a four year course without knowing ur classmates. Too bad and u say classrooms r for kids. Classrooms brings people together, helps collective brainstorming and interactions which gives birth to new ideas. All that is done in noun is to read textbooks and pass exams. Copy and paste.

My Roomie then was a student of Noun. I remembered he did his quiz at home then while we hia roomies helped in browsing and searching for answers in d textbooks and internet then. Too bad. Keep deceiving yaself saying it's for matured minds. I don't think I've ever seen a rating that includes Noun as a university before. So.......
