Makes some sense.

But what if a man's wife A gives birth in Jan, wife B in May and wife C n Sept That is one year parternity leave oo grin

Hope it wont backfire o

They must be legally married. Delivery by concubine does not count. And you can legally be married to one person at a time.

I think this is good.

Nice one.
But, wait, what if a man has 12 wives? One gave birth in January, the others February, March, April, may, June, July, August, September, October till December. That's 3×12 = 36 weeks out of 52weeks... cheesy.

A good move forward, family issues don't concern the women alone including child care.....

Developed countries have since adopted that....

It's high time men paid more attention to issues at home including chores.. nobody was born to do chores...

It's a welcome development. So if a man has like 4 wives, he can have like 3 months of paternity leave in a year. Make sense.

Nope... Civil service and Marriage Act only recognize 1 marriage under the law...

Normally, recognition is only given to one man one wife, English law.

the rule is that the man is entitled to a stipulated amount of time in a year. That amount of time is left to him to share it as he wants. So if he decides to have 3 wives just cos he is looking for leave he is on his own cos he only gets the same sipulated amount of time that his colleagues gets who have just one wife.

Re: Enugu Approves Three-week Paternity Leave by Nobody: 3:12pm On Aug 07, 2015
Good one by Enugu state, that's how it's done in developed nations. In the UK , mother's have option of up to 1yr maternity leave. 3 months is too small, more like being enslaved to your job by the employer. They have set a pace for others to follow.
Re: Enugu Approves Three-week Paternity Leave by Digriz(m): 3:16pm On Aug 07, 2015
With option of once in 2yrs to avoid overpopulation.
