ABIA FACTS NEWSPAPER REPORTS: BUILT ON THE FOUNDATION OF FALSHOOD!

According to this widely read social media based publication company, the forensic experts of the ALL PROGRESSIVE GRAND ALLIANCE ( APGA ) have already started giving evidence by feeding the public with information concerning their findings in the ongoing inspection of the electoral materials at the Abia State Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Umuahia. According to their report, PDP has been accused of using 2011 electoral materials. They did not even say in that report that it is INEC that used the said materials. I am sure that the Petitioners will definitely call for the said 2011 materials when they open their case on Monday the 10th day of August, 2015. Now that APGA is crying that PDP has been delaying the process, it will be recalled that at the last adjourned date, the matter was adjourned at the instance of APGA. What do I mean? When the Tribunal ordered the Petitioners to open their case on Monday- 3/08/2015, their lead Counsel- Prof Awa
KALU SAN politely and in a very low tone, pleaded with the Court to adjourn the matter till 10th of August to enable them arrange their witnesses and get prepared to give evidence. All of us thought they were 100% ready to prosecute their matter but they pressed for an adjournment. In the ongoing inspection, both parties ( PDP and APGA ) fielded forensic experts. PDP's forensic experts have not made known to the public their own findings. Their own findings will follow due process. What do I mean? They will be made known to the Tribunal for onward transmission to the public through the proper channels- printed and electronic media. The idea of front loading the reports of forensic experts that are yet to be tested on the scale of Justice is not far from the issue of DESPERATION we are talking about. People must refrain from over heating the polity with mischievous publications. Assuming the Court finds out that 2011 materials were NOT used by the 3rd
Respondent ( INEC ) as apparently reported by ABIA FACTS NEWSPAPER, what will be their stand at the end of the day? Like I said in a particular update, let all the forensic experts be prepared to enter into the witness box. That is exactly where the TRUTH will manifest. Some people have been talking about "stolen mandate". That is the same thing we heard after April 11 elections. When that of April 25 was fixed, they did not oppose and continue with their prayer of stolen mandate. They abandoned their prayer of stolen mandate and participated fully in that rerun election. When they saw the obvious defeat, they resurrected their prayer of stolen mandate by proceeding to the Tribunal. Having gone to the Tribunal, why can't they allow the same Tribunal they took us to decide on the status, validity, propriety and/or otherwise of their findings? Why passing judgment when the Tribunal is yet to admit the purported 2011 election materials in evidence?
Till date, those responsible for the inferno at the Obingwa LG INEC office are yet to be arrested. But we heard and read series of accusations and counter accusations. This same ABIA FACTS NEWSPAPER wrote all sorts of nonsense against PDP. When PDP supporters were accusing APGA, I condemned it because no suspect was arrested in connection with the incident. A friend wrote that PDP stands to gain in the incident; that they purposely did it to frustrate the proceedings, to hide their fraud. But I had joined issues with a friend on this. It is NOT only the defendant in a matter that can either suppress, withhold or destroy evidence. A sharp claimant can as well do so. A desperate claimant can do it in an election petition matter to attract the sympathy of the Court. He can mastermind it to indict his opponent whom everyone will be looking at as the number 1 suspect. But we are not sure at the moment whether it is PDP or APGA. What the Court needs is
evidence and not suspicion OR baseless, fictitious, unfounded and vexatious reports. Interestingly, the EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE- DR OKEZIE VICTOR IKPEAZU who is a party in the matter before the Tribunal has without equivocation, condemned the act. In furtherance, the place has been fortified with adequate security. Some may say it is " medicine after death " but that is a good step. As a matter of fact, what happened in Obingwa was not envisaged by anybody. It has never happened and this is not the first election in Abia State that is seriously contested to warrant this kind of ugly incident. 2003 election is not too far away from us when our Former Deputy Governor and now the Senator representing Abia South- Chief Enyi Abaribe gave OUK a very tough battle. It is obvious that it was OBJ's policy of returning the incumbent Governors that caused us that election. Abians really spoke in that election but OUK never sponsored or masterminded the
burning down of Obingwa INEC office to stop anybody from seeing whether our people voted in favor of Senator Abaribe.
My people, let the Tribunal decide. Stop over heating the polity. And mind you that God's mandate can never be tampered with. IKPEAZU MEANS BUSINESS! Again, I say congratulations to our Governor for the jobs he is doing in ENYIMBA CITY. God bless ABIA STATE.
