CONSECRATION TO SAINT JOSEPH (Of Children By Their Parents)
O glorious St. Joseph,
to you God committed the care
of His only begotten Son
amid the many dangers of this world.
We come to you
and ask you to take under your special protection
the children God has given us.
Through holy baptism they became children of God
and members of His holy Church.
We consecrate them to you today,
that through this consecration
they may become your foster children.
Guard them, guide their steps in life,
form their hearts after the hearts of Jesus and Mary.
St. Joseph,
who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent
when the child Jesus was lost,
protect our dear children for time and eternity.
May you be their father and counselor.
let them, like Jesus,
grow in age as well as in wisdom
and grace before God and men.
Preserve them from the corruption of this world,
and give us the grace one day
to be united with them in heaven forever.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR PRIESTS

Eternal God,
please bless our priests,
who represent you on this earth.
Make them more greatly aware of the grace
that you pour out through them
when they minister the sacraments,
and help them to fall more deeply in love with You
after each and every Mass that they celebrate.
Please strengthen our priests,
who shepherd your flock,
when they are in doubt of their faith,
that they may be examples of your Truth
and guide us always on the path to you.
We ask these things of You our Eternal Priest.
Amen.

Prayer to Jesus in the Tabernacle

O Divine Savior!
I thank Thee for having perpetuated Thy humble,
obedient, self-sacrificing and recollected silence
of Nazareth in the tabernacle.
How Thy example puts me to shame!
Forgive me for my bold, self-seeking,
and superficial talkativeness.
Teach me to understand the words:
“In silence and in hope shall Your strength be.”
Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD

Blood of Jesus, inebriate me!
O Jesus, my Beloved Saviour,
ever present in the Tabernacle,
to be the strength,
the joy and the food of souls,
I come to consecrate myself to Thy Precious Blood,
and to pledge Thee my sincere love and fidelity.
Pierced with sorrow at the remembrance of Thy sufferings,
the contemplation of the Cross,
and the thought of the outrages
and contempt lavished by ungrateful souls
upon Thy dear Blood,
I long, O my Jesus,
to bring joy to Thy Heart,
and to make Thee forget my sins,
and those of the whole world,
by consecrating my body and soul to Thy service.
I desire, my Jesus, to live henceforth,
only by Thy Blood and for Thy Blood.
I now choose It as my greatest treasure
and the dearest object of my love.
O merciful Redeemer,
deign to regard me as a perpetual adorer
of Thy Most Precious Blood,
and be pleased to accept my prayers,
my deeds and my sacrifices,
as so many acts of reparation and love.
Heavenly Wine,
giver of purity and strength,
pour down upon my soul.
Make of my heart a living chalice
from which grace shall constantly flow
on those that love Thee,
and especially on poor sinners that offend Thee.
Teach me to honour Thee
and to make Thee honoured by others.
Give me power to draw to Thee cold and hardened hearts,
that they may feel how infinitely
Thy consolations surpass those of the world.
O Blood of my Crucified Saviour,
detach me from the world,
and the spirit of the world.
Make me love suffering and sacrifice,
after the example of St. Catherine of Sienna,
who loved Thee so much
[and whom I choose again today as my special patroness].
O Precious Blood,
be my strength amid the trials and struggles of exile.
Grant that at the hour of death
I may be able to bless Thee
for having been the comfort
and the sanctification of my soul,
before becoming, in Heaven,
the everlasting object of my love and praise.
Saints of God,
who owe thy happiness to the Blood of Jesus;
Angelic spirits,
who sing Its glory and power,
august Virgin,
who to It owest the privileges
of thine Immaculate Conception
and Divine Maternity,
help me to pay to the Precious Blood of my Redeemer
a perpetual homage of adoration,
reparation and thanksgiving.
Amen.

Prayer to the Holy Family

O Jesus, only-begotten Son of the Eternal Father, well-beloved Son of the Blessed Virgin and foster Child of St. Joseph, we most fervently implore Thee, through Mary Thine ever-blessed Mother and St. Joseph Thy foster father, take our children under Thy special charge and enclose them in the love of Thy Sacred Heart. They are the children of Thy Father in Heaven, created after His own image; they are Thy possession, for Thou hast purchased them with Thy Precious Blood; they are temples of the Holy Ghost, who sanctified them in Baptism and implanted in their hearts the virtues of faith, hope and charity.
O most loving Jesus, rule and guide them, that they may live according to the holy Catholic Faith, that they may not waver in their confidence in Thee and that they may ever remain faithful to Thy love.
O Mary, Blessed Mother of Jesus, grant to our children a place in thy pure maternal heart! Spread over them thy protecting mantle when danger threatens their innocence; keep them firm when they are about to stray from the path of virtue; and should they have the misfortune of falling into mortal sin, oh, then raise them up again, reconcile them with thy Divine Son and restore them to Sanctifying Grace.
And thou, O holy foster father St. Joseph, do not abandon our children! Protect them from the assaults of the wicked enemy and deliver them from all dangers of soul and body.
O dear parents of the holy Child Jesus! Intercede for us parents also, that we may bring up our children in the love and fear of God and one day attain with them the Beatific Vision.
Amen.

A Prayer for True Repentance and Pardon

Behold me at Thy feet, O Jesus of Nazareth, behold the most wretched of creatures, who comes into Thy presence humbled and penitent! Have mercy on me, O Lord, according to Thy great mercy! I have sinned and my sins are always before Thee. Yet my soul belongs to Thee, for Thou hast created it, and redeemed it with Thy Precious Blood. Ah, grant that Thy redeeming work be not in vain! Have pity on me; give me tears of true repentance; pardon me for I am Thy child; pardon me as Thou didst pardon the penitent thief; look upon me from Thy throne in heaven and give me Thy blessing.
I believe in God…

THE PRAYER LORD JESUS, THROUGH THINE INFANT CRIES

when Thou wast born for me in the manger,
Through Thy tears when Thou didst die for me on the Cross,
Through Thy love as Thou livest for me in the tabernacle,
Have mercy on me and save me.
Amen

PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP

Behold, O Mother of Perpetual Help,
at thy feet a wretched sinner,
who has recourse to thee and trusts in thee.
O Mother of mercy, have pity on me;
I hear all men call thee the refuge and hope of sinners:
be therefore my refuge and my hope.
Help me for the love of Jesus Christ:
hold out thy hand to a fallen wretch,
who commends himself to thee
and dedicates himself to be thy servant forever.
I praise and thank God,
who of His great mercy
hath given me this confidence in thee,
a sure pledge of my eternal salvation.
Alas, it is only too true
that in the past I have fallen miserably,
because I did not come to thee.
I know that with thy help I shall conquer;
I know that thou wilt help me,
if I commend myself to thee;
but I am fearful lest in the occasions of sin
I shall forget to call upon thee
and so I shall be lost.
This grace, then, do I ask of thee;
for this I implore thee,
as much as I can and know how to do;
namely, that in the assaults of hell
I may ever run to thy protection
and may say to thee:
Mary, help me;
Mother of Perpetual Help,
permit me not to lose my God.
Say the Hail Mary here…
O Mother of Perpetual Help,
grant me ever to be able to call upon thy powerful name,
since thy name is the help of the living
and the salvation of the dying.
Ah, Mary most pure,
Mary most sweet,
grant that thy name from this day forth
may be to me the very breath of life.
Dear Lady, delay not to come to my assistance
whenever I call upon thee;
for in all the temptations that assail me,
in all the necessities that befall me,
I will never leave off calling upon thee,
ever repeating: Mary, Mary.
What comfort, what sweetness,
what confidence, what tenderness fills my soul
at the sound of thy name,
at the very thought of thee!
I give thanks to our Lord,
who for my sake hath given thee a name so sweet,
so lovable, so mighty.
But I am not content merely to speak thy name;
I would utter it for very love of thee;
it is my desire that love
should ever remind me to name thee,
Mother of Perpetual Help.
Say the Hail Mary here…
O Mother of Perpetual Help,
thou art the dispenser of every grace
that God grants us in our misery;
it is for this cause that He hath made thee so powerful,
so rich, so kind,
that thou mightest assist us in our miseries.
Thou art the advocate of the most wretched
and abandoned sinners,
if they but come unto thee;
come once more to my assistance,
for I commend myself to thee.
In thy hands I place my eternal salvation;
to thee I entrust my soul.
Enroll me among thy most faithful servants;
take me under thy protection
and it is enough for me: yes,
for if thou protect me,
I shall fear nothing; not my sins,
for thou wilt obtain for me their pardon and remission;
not the evil spirits,
for thou art mightier than all the powers of hell;
not even Jesus, my Judge,
for He is appeased by a single prayer from thee.
I fear only that through my own negligence
I may forget to recommend myself to thee
and so I shall be lost.
My dear Lady,
obtain for me the forgiveness of my sins,
love for Jesus,
final perseverance
and the grace to have recourse to thee at all times,
O Mother of Perpetual Help.
Say the Hail Mary here…

A PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE FROM AN UNPROVIDED DEATH

Hear us, O God of our salvation! and issue not the decree for the completion of our days before Thou forgivest us our sins; and because penance avails not in hell, and there is no room there for amendment, therefore do we humbly pray and beseech Thee here on earth, that, giving us time to pray for pardon, Thou wouldst grant us also forgiveness of our sins. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Take away, merciful Lord, all errors from Thy faithful people, avert from them the sudden destruction of the wasting pestilence; that those whose wanderings Thou dost justly chastise, Thou wouldst vouchsafe in Thy tender pity to cherish when corrected. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Antiphon – Sin no longer, O my soul! Think upon the sudden change from sin to endless woe. There, in hell, penance is not accepted, and tears profit not. Turn, then, whilst thou hast time; cry out and say: Have mercy upon me, O my God!
Antiphon – In the midst of life we are in death: whom, then, O Lord, shall we seek to be our helper, save Thee, O Lord! although Thou art indeed angry with us because of sins? O Holy Lord, holy and strong, holy and merciful Saviour! deliver us not ever to a bitter death.
V. – Lest, overtaken by the day of death, we seek time for penance, and be not able to find it.
R. – Hearken! O Lord! and have mercy on us; for we have sinned against Thee.
We beseech Thee, Almighty God, receive in Thy fatherly pity Thy people flying to Thee from Thine anger; that they who fear to be chastised by the rod of Thy Majesty in the suddenness of death, may be made worthy to rejoice in Thy gracious pardon. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We beseech Thee, Almighty God, graciously to incline Thine ear to the assembly of Thy Church, and let Thy mercy prevent Thine anger in our behalf; for if Thou shouldst mark iniquities, no creature shall be able to stand before Thee: but in that marvellous charity, through which Thou didst create us, pardon us sinners, and destroy not the work of Thine own hands by sudden death. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
O God! in Whose sight every heart trembles and every conscience is awed; show forth Thy mercy upon us Thy suppliants, that we, who trust not in the excellence of our own merit, may never know Thy judgments in the suddenness of our death, but may receive Thy pardon. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer
Most merciful Lord Jesus! by Thine agony and bloody sweat, and by Thy death, deliver me, I beseech Thee, from a sudden and unprovided death. O most gentle Lord Jesus! by Thy cruel and ignominious scourging and crowning with thorns, by Thy cross and most bitter Passion, and by Thy goodness, I humbly pray Thee, let me not die unprepared and pass from this life without the Holy Sacraments. Jesus, my best Beloved, my Lord! by all Thy labours and sorrows, by Thy precious Blood, and by Thy most holy Wounds, and by those last words spoken on the cross by Thee: “Deus meus, Deus meus, ut quid dereliquisti me?? – “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” and again: “Pater, in manus tuas commendo spiritum meum,” – “Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit,” most ardently I pray Thee, save me from a sudden death. Thy hands, O Redeemer! have wholly made and formed me: ah! suffer not death to take me unawares; give me, I beseech Thee, time for penance; vouchsafe that I may pass from this life happily in Thy grace, that I may love Thee with my whole heart, and praise and bless Thee forever and ever.
Amen.
Our Father…
Hail Mary…
Glory Be To The Father…

PRAYER BEFORE THE BLESSED SACRAMENT FOR RELIGIOUS VOCATIONS Part I

Lord Jesus Christ,
Son of the Eternal Father,
Son of the Virgin Mary,
we thank you for offering your life
in sacrifice on the Cross,
and for renewing this sacrifice in every Mass
celebrated throughout the world.
In the Power of the Holy Spirit
we adore you
and proclaim your living presence in the Eucharist.
We desire to imitate the love You show us
in your death and resurrection,
by loving and serving one another.
We ask you to call many young people to religious life,
and to provide the holy and generous priests
that are so needed in your Church today.
Lord Jesus, hear our prayer.
Amen.

PRAYER OF REFUGE (By St. Alphonsus Liguori.)

Behold, O Mother of my God,
my only hope, Mary,
behold at thy feet a miserable sinner,
who asks thee for mercy.
Thou art proclaimed and called by the whole Church,
and by all the faithful,
the refuge of sinners.
Thou art consequently my refuge;
thou hast to save me.
I will say with William of Paris:
Thou knowest, most sweet Mother of God,
how much thy blessed Son desires our salvation.
Thou knowest all that Jesus Christ endured for this end.
I present thee, O my Mother, the sufferings of Jesus:
the cold that He endured in the stable,
His journey into Egypt,
His toils, His sweat, the Blood that He shed;
the anguish which caused His death on the Cross,
and of which thou wast thyself a witness.
Oh, show that thou lovest thy beloved Son,
and by this love I implore thee to assist me.
Extend thy hand to a poor creature who has fallen
and asks thy help.
Were I a Saint I would not need seek thy mercy;
but because I am a sinner I fly to thee,
who art the Mother of mercies.
I know that thy compassionate heart
finds it a consolation in assisting the miserable,
when thou canst do so,
and dost not find them obstinate.
Console, then, thy compassionate heart,
and console me this day;
for now thou hast the opportunity
of saving a poor creature condemned to Hell;
and thou canst do so,
for I will not be obstinate.
I abandon myself into thy hands,
only tell me what thou wouldst have me do,
and obtain for me strength to execute it,
for I am resolved to do all
that depends on me to recover the Divine grace.
I take refuge under thy mantle.
Jesus wills that I should have recourse to thee,
in order not only that His Blood may save me,
but also that thy prayers may assist me in this great work;
for thy glory. and for His Own,
since thou art His Mother.
He sends me to thee, that thou mayest help me.
O Mary, see, I have recourse to thee;
in thee do I confide.
Thou prayest for so many others,
pray also for me; say only a word.
Tell Our Lord that thou willest my salvation,
and God will certainly save me.
Say that I am thine,
and then I have obtained all that I ask,
all that I desire.

A PARISH PRIEST’S PRAYER TO MARY MOST HOLY

A Parish Priest’s Prayer to Mary Most Holy
O Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, crucified and risen,
Mother of the Church, a priestly people (I Peter 2:9),
Mother of priests, ministers of your Son:
accept the humble offering of myself,
so that in my pastoral mission
the infinite mercy of the Eternal High Priest
may be proclaimed:
O “Mother of Mercy”.
You who share the “priestly obedience”
(Hebrews 10:5-7; Luke 1:38) of your Son,
and who prepared for him a worthy receptacle
by the anointing of the Holy Spirit,
keep my priestly life in the ineffable mystery
of your divine maternity,
“Holy Mother of God”.
Grant me strength in the dark hours of this life,
support me in the exertions of my ministry,
entrust me to Jesus,
so that, in communion with you,
I may fulfill the ministry with fidelity and love,
O Mother of the Eternal Priest.
“Queen of Apostles and Help of Priests”.
Make me faithful to the flock
entrusted to me by the Good Shepherd.
You silently accompanied Jesus
on his mission to proclaim
the Gospel to the poor.
May I always guide it with patience, sweetness,
firmness and love, caring for the sick, the weak,
the poor, and sinners,
O “Mother, Help of the Christian People”.
I consecrate and entrust myself to you, Mary,
who shared in the work of redemption
at the Cross of your Son,
you who “are inseparably linked to the work of salvation”.
Grant that in the exercise of my ministry
I may always be aware of the “stupendous and penetrating dimension
of your maternal presence”,
in every moment of my life, in prayer, and action,
in joy and sorrow, in weariness and in rest,
O “Mother of Trust”.
Grant, Holy Mother, that in the celebration of the Eucharist,
source and center of the priestly ministry,
I may live my closeness to him,
so that as “we celebrate Holy Eucharist
you will be present with us”
and introduce us to the redemptive mystery of your divine Son’s offering.
“O Mediatrix of all grace flowing from this sacrifice to the Church
and to all the faithful”
O “Mother of Our Savior”.
O Mary, I earnestly desire to place my person
and my desire for holiness
under your maternal protection and inspiration
so that you may bring me to that “conformity with Christ, Head and Shepherd”
which is necessary for the ministry of every parish priest.
Make me aware
that “you are always close to priests”
in your mission of servant
of the One Mediator, Jesus Christ,
O “Mother of Priests”,
“Benefactress and Mediatrix” of all graces. Amen

PRAYER OF BLESSED ANNA MARIA

Kneeling at thy most holy feet,
O great Queen of Heaven,
I venerate thee with the deepest respect
and I confess that thou art the daughter of the Divine Father,
the Mother of the Divine Word,
and the Spouse of the Holy Ghost.
Thou art the Treasurer and the Dispenser of mercies.
Thy most pure heart,
abounding in charity, sweetness,
and tenderness for sinners,
is the reason wherefor
I call thee Mother of divine piety.
Therefore with great trust I present myself to thee,
mother most loving,
in my affliction and distress,
and I beseech thee to make me experience
the truth with which thou lovest me,
granting to me the grace wherefor I supplicate thee,
if it is in accordance with the Divine Will,
and to the advantage of my soul.
Oh! turn, I beseech thee,
thy most pure eyes towards me,
and those especially who have recommended themselves
to my prayers.
Consider the cruel war which the devil,
the world, and the flesh
wage upon our souls
and how many perish therefrom.
Remember, most tender mother,
that we are all thy sons redeemed
with the most precious Blood of thy Only Begotten Son.
Deign to supplicate with the greatest fervor
the Most Holy Trinity,
so that I may be granted the grace of being triumphant over the devil,
the world, and all my evil passions;
that grace by which the just may be sanctified the more,
sinners converted, heresies overthrown,
infidels enlightened and the Jews converted.
Ask, O most loving mother,
this grace through the infinite goodness of the Most High God,
through the merits of thy most holy Son,
through the milk thou didst give Him,
through the cares with which thou didst serve Him,
through the love with which thou didst love Him,
through the tears which thou didst shed,
through the pain thou didst suffer in His most holy passion.
Obtain for us the great gift
that the entire world may form one people
and one Church to give glory, honor, and thanks
to the Most Holy Trinity
and to thee who art our Intercessor.
May this grace be granted us by the Power of the Father,
the Wisdom of the Son,
and the Virtue of the Holy Ghost,
Amen.
Th’ extreme peril, Mother,
Of thy children behold;
To thee all is granted,
Have pity, O Mother.
Powerful Virgin,
pray for us,
Say the Hail Mary…
Hail Mary, etc.
[To be repeated three times]
Eternal Father,
Increase ever more in the hearts of the faithful,
devotion to Mary, your Daughter.
Say the Glory be…
Eternal Son,
Increase ever more in the hearts of the faithful,
devotion to Mary, your Mother.
Say the Glory be…
Eternal Spirit,
Increase ever more in the hearts of the faithful,
devotion to Mary, your Spouse.
Say the Glory be…

and didst grant the prayer of the thief,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to deliver
the souls of our parents, relations,
friends, and benefactors,
from the pains of hell,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to have mercy
on those of whom no special remembrance
is made on earth,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to grant them all
the pardon and remission of their sins,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
That Thou wouldst be pleased to receive them
into the company of the blessed,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
King of awful majesty,
we beseech Thee, hear us.
Son of God, we beseech Thee,
hear us.
Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto them eternal rest.
Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto them eternal rest.
Lamb of God,
who takest away the sins of the world,
grant unto them rest everlasting.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
Lord, have mercy,
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy,
From the gate of hell,
deliver their souls, O Lord.
O Lord, hear my prayer.
And let my cry come unto Thee.
LET US PRAY:
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant unto the souls of Thy servants departed
the remission of all their sins;
that, by pious supplications,
they may obtain the pardon
which they have always desired.
Grant this, O God,
Who livest and reignest for ever and ever,
Amen.
O eternal God, Who,
besides the general precept of charity,
hast commanded a particular respect for parents,
kindred, and benefactors;
grant, we beseech Thee, that,
as they were the instruments
by which Thy providence bestowed on us our birth,
education and innumerable other blessings,
so our prayers may be the means to obtain for them
a speedy release from their excessive sufferings,
and admittance to Thine infinite joys.
Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord,
And let the perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
Amen.

ACT OF DEDICATION TO OUR LADY

Most holy, immaculate Virgin Mary,
to your motherly heart Jesus entrusted his disciples
and to us He has given you.
I thank you, O most beautiful and noble of women,
that you have always loved me as a mother,
and I want to provide afresh for you an honored place in my life.
Obtain for me from Jesus
the gift of a new beginning and a new heart:
a heart open and obedient to God’s Word;
a heart simple as a child’s;
a heart bold in sacrifice;
a chaste heart;
a thankful heart;
a compassionate heart;
a heart like yours,
O Mary.
Enfold in your mercy, dear Mother,
all my dear ones especially….(pause)
and all who have a special claim to your help
– children and young people,
-the sick and the suffering,
-the forgotten and the poor of this world.
Join your prayers to our petitions
for those who do not cease to be your children
even though they have abandoned the faith and fallen into sin.
May a remembrance of your love and beauty
touch their hearts at depths we can not reach.
As at Pentecost,
so now pray for the Church;
pray for our parish,
our priests,
our Brothers and our Sisters,
and for all of us,
who strive to serve others in the name of Jesus, your Son.
With all generations,
we will ever call you blessed, O Mary,
our Mother of Perpetual Help,
for God, the Almighty,
has indeed done great things for you,
and you have been and are so gracious to us:
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary

PRAYER OF ACCLAMATION TO MARY

O gracious and beautiful Heaven,
more vast than the heavens themselves,
for they cannot contain God,
Who is immense, but He concealed Himself in thy womb;
O richest of all treasures,
in which was deposited the treasure of our redemption;
O Mother of sinners,
under whose mantle we are defended;
O consolation of the world,
in which all who are afflicted, infirm, and disconsolate,
find consolation;
O beautiful eyes, which steal hearts;
O coral lips, which imprison souls;
O generous hands, filled with lilies,
and which always distribute graces;
O pure creature. who appearest a God,
and whom I should have taken for a God,
had not faith taught me that thou art not so,
although thou hast a splendor,
and I know not what of Divine sovereignty;
O great Lady, empress of Heaven,
enjoy for a thousand eternities the greatness of thy state,
the immensity of thy greatness,
and the happiness of thy glory,
We only beseech thee,
O compassionate Mother, not to forget us,
who glory in being thy servants and children,
And since in thee are deposited all graces,
and the best and most privileged of all created things,
grant, O Lady, that we,
thy devout children,
may be favored more beyond comparison
than are all other men on earth,
The whole world should know that the dear children of Mary
are the best of Heaven and earth:
they are the spoilt children,
who enjoy all the choicest possessions of their Mother;
they are the beloved Benjamins,
who, being caressed in the bosom of the Queen of Heaven,
are doubly favored
and doubly caressed by the Majesty of God,
This I hope, O most beautiful Rachel;
and this I am confident that thou wilt do,
O sovereign Princess,
in the name of what thou art, do it;
for all Heaven prostrate at thy feet beseeches thee,
and with importunity asks it of thee.
Say only yes, pronounce only a loving consent;
be it done, be it done, fiat, fiat!
O men, of what are you thinking?
How can you love earthly, deceitful, and lying creatures,
which betray you and cause you to lose your souls,
your bodies, Paradise, and God!
And why do you not love the most loving,
the most amiable,
the most faithful Mary, who,
after having enriched you with consolations and graces in this life,
will obtain you from her Divine beloved Son
the eternal glory of Paradise?
O Mary, Mary more beautiful than all creatures,
lovely after Jesus above all loves,
more dear than all created things,
gracious above every grace,
pity this miserable heart of mine;
miserable because it does not love thee;
and it ought to love thee.
Thou canst inflame it with thy holy love.
Turn, O Mary, thy loving eyes upon me;
look at me, and draw me to thee;
and grant that after God I may love no other but thee,
most gracious, most amiable Mary,
Mother of Jesus,
and my Mother.

Prayers to Jesus and Mary for Mercy

Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal and Merciful God,
Creator and Redeemer of all, listen to my prayer.
For the love Thou doth bear to those who ask forgiveness,
look on me with mercy, as once Thou didst look on Mary Magdalen,
and on Peter who denied Thee.
Look on me, Lord Jesus Christ, as Thou didst looked at the thief on his cross
and on every sinner whom Thou hast ever forgiven.
Look on me, Merciful Lord, as Thou didst look on Thy Mother, Mary,
standing in sorrow beneath Thy Cross.
Let me feel in my heart her compassion for Thee,
and let my eyes weep for Thy sorrows, caused by my sinful life.
Call me back from the darkness to my Father’s house, give me a new heart
and a place at Thy side in the banquet Thou hast prepared for me. Amen.
Hail, Mary, my joy, my glory, my heart and my soul!
Thou art all mine through thy mercy, and I am all thine.
But I am not thine completely enough.
Destroy in me all that may be displeasing to God.
Place and cultivate in me everything that is pleasing to thee.
Amen.

A Prayer in Time of Distress

I shall walk through dark valleys, I fear no harm for you are at my side. Your rod and staff shall give me courage, No evil shall befall me, No weakness in my stride.
God wills not my foot to slip Or my guardian sleep, He guides me from all evil,
The Lord is my guardian; The Lord the shade I keep, By day the sun cannot harm me Or the moon by night.
For the Lord said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, Have faith in God and also in me. In my Father’s house There are many dwelling places. If there were not, Would I have told you That I am going to prepare A place for you?
And if I go And prepare a place for you, I will come back again And take you to myself, So that where I am You also may be.”
If the Lord is with us, Who can be against us?

A Prayer for a Good Husband or Wife

O Jesus, lover of the young, the dearest Friend I have, in all confidence I open my heart to You to beg Your light and assistance in the important task of planning my future. Give me the light of Your grace, that I may decide wisely concerning the person who is to be my partner through life. Dearest Jesus, send me such a one whom in Your divine wisdom You judge best suited to be united with me in marriage. May her/his character reflect some of the traits of Your own Sacred Heart. May s/he be upright, loyal, pure, sincere and noble, so that with united efforts and with pure and unselfish love we both may strive to perfect ourselves in soul and body, as well as the children it may please You to entrust to our care. Bless our friendship before marriage, that sin may have no part in it. May our mutual love bind us so closely, that our future home may ever be most like Your own at Nazareth.
O Mary Immaculate, sweet Mother of the young, to your special care I entrust the decision I am to make as to my future wife/husband. You are my guiding Star! Direct me to the person with whom I can best cooperate in doing God’s Holy Will, with whom I can live in peace, love and harmony in this life, and attain to eternal joys in the next.
Amen.

Immaangel:
[s] CONSECRATION TO SAINT JOSEPH (Of Children By Their Parents)
O glorious St. Joseph,
to you God committed the care
of His only begotten Son
amid the many dangers of this world.
We come to you
and ask you to take under your special protection
the children God has given us.
Through holy baptism they became children of God
and members of His holy Church.
We consecrate them to you today,
that through this consecration
they may become your foster children.
Guard them, guide their steps in life,
form their hearts after the hearts of Jesus and Mary.
St. Joseph,
who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent
when the child Jesus was lost,
protect our dear children for time and eternity.
May you be their father and counselor.
let them, like Jesus,
grow in age as well as in wisdom
and grace before God and men.
Preserve them from the corruption of this world,
and give us the grace one day
to be united with them in heaven forever.
Amen. [/s]

My friend, u're asking him a wrong question. Ask him & his deluded catholic members to channel these entirely useless prayers to ending the Boko Haram menace and then we'll take them serious. grin

Chamber of Prayer

Lord God take me there
Where You and I can share
Our innermost thoughts in prayer
With all my problems bare
For as I seek Your face
You lift me with Your grace
You surround me with Your light
And give me renewed sight
Lord God take me there
Where You and I can share
Your Kingdom yet to come
And the love we have for Your Son
The peace and calm You give
Almost seems unreal
Then I remember the place
You’ve brought me with Your grace
It is when You take me there
To that secret Chamber of Prayer
And expecting a miracle there
You show how much You care
Lord God gently lead me there
To that secret Chamber of Prayer
Shower me with Your fountain
Miracles in answered prayer

Prayer to Appreciate the Mass

O Lord Jesus, in order that the merits of Your sacrifice on the Cross might be applied to every soul of all time, You willed that it should be renewed upon the altar. At the Last Supper, You said: “Do this in remembrance of Me.” By these words You gave Your apostles and their successors the power to consecrate and the command to do what You Yourself did. I believe that the Mass is both a sacrifice and a memorial – reenacting Your Passion, Death and Resurrection. Help me to realize that the Mass is the greatest gift of God to us and our greatest gift to God.
Amen.

PRAYER TO ST. ANNE Part I (To obtain a special favor)
Glorious St. Anne,
filled with compassion for those who invoke thee,
and with love for those who suffer,
heavily laden with the weight of my troubles,
I cast myself at thy feet
and humbly beg of thee to take the present affair
which I recommend to thee under thy special protection.
Vouchsafe to recommend it to thy Daughter,
the Blessed Virgin Mary,
and lay it before the throne of Jesus,
so that He may bring it to a happy issue.
Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted.
Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day
beholding my God face to face,
and with thee and Mary and all the Saints,
praising and blessing Him to all eternity.
Good St. Anne,
mother of her who is our Life,
our Sweetness and our Hope,
pray to her for us,
and obtain our request. (3 times)
