The first picture you see isn't the helicopter that crashed yesterday...that one happened in 2009 and there were no casualties the registration is 5N BKJ the model is a Super Puma, yesterday's Ill fated helicopter disintegrated into innumerable pieces it was a Sikorsky 76 (S76) with registration 5N BGD. RIP to the dead...May God console their families. Amen

The first picture is not the same with others. A helicopter cannot crash this way and still remain whole and killed everyone in it! If at all nothing damaged in the helicopter, the massive fan alone would have been destroyed!

The first pic isn't the real pic of the helicopter, that's a puma AS332.. That was ditched on high seas 2010. The yesterday's helicopter was a sirkorsky s76c++. From findings it was a rotor stall.. Low rpm that caused the ill-fated accident, Lord grant my follow aviators rest eternal.. Amen

For an aircraft to to have this kind off accident basicly its should be technical related fault.

The helicopter crash in Nigeria Airspace, the dullard say Nigeria Airspace is control By Ghana, Ghana say they do not control any airspace. Is it the confusion that come and hold the pilot by the dullard? Who is now the MUMU.

you are not making sense at all....cant u see they crashed into lagoon...dont u think they must have died by drowning

The captain and the co-pilot are one of the best things that have happened to nigeria in a while- they flew over residential houses knowing the amount of possible people that could have died if they had crashed into the houses, they also knew that their was a possibility of survival if rescue operations where prompt in the shallow area's of the lagoon* 4 died not withstanding 8 survived a miracle- RIP pilot, and captain and the other 2 aboard, may God grant you peace and mercy in the great beyond...

AMEN! Its so shocking. Bristow helicopters, recruit and train the Top pilots and Engineers in the world, they have a sound safety culture. They have good Aircrafts and their maintenance culture is top class. Yet this crash. what exactly went wrong?

They said the helicopter developed a problem at the tail end of the flight- 7mins from the airport* hmm! Engine bottomed out just like that- no reason*

In trying to be funny, you show everyone how ignorant you really are. You really don't have to talk everytime.

Bristow has one of the best safety cultures of any airline with properly trained pilots and properly serviced aircrafts. Visit their Port Harcourt office to see first hand. Their last mishap was in 1995 and that doesn't happen by luck.

But you just had to open your mouth...

Why is the water filled with dirt?

on a serious note the water ways in lagos is exceptionally dirty.. no thanks to people emptying waste in variable degree including channelling of sewage into this water bodies. in other states i have been to, soak away pit is segmented (2) one compartment for sewage and d other for water exiting d bathrooms but most areas in lagos have d bathrooms channelled to d streets..

See ur small brain, it is very difficult to get any item(pin) from an accident aircraft back to service especially for commercial purposes. That super puma is scraped even though it didn't crash but landed safely on water.

The helicopter involved in this accident broke into many parts and pieces, no hardware can be used from it ever again.
