Tinubu’s In-law, Lola Akande Joins Ambode’s Cabinet by lekanolas: 10:16am On Aug 16, 2015
The immediate elder sister of the wife of the former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Lola Akande is among those already penciled down to join the cabinet of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.

Akande, who was a former Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos House of Assembly had lost in her bid to represent the Ikeja Constituency in the House of Representatives. She lost to James Faleke, a former Chairman of the Ojodu Local Government Development Council (LCDA)

Akande’s name is among the 15 names that have been picked to head some of the 20 ministries in the state.

She is expected to be appointed as the Commissioner for the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Other names penciled down to become commissioners are Modupe Akinsola, Abdulateef Abdulkareem, Sulaimon Oriyomi, Paul Kalejaiye, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, Mohammed Kabiru, Gbolahan Lawal, Ganiyu Johnson.

Others are Abayomi Abass, Ramotallahi Akinola-Hassan, Kazeem Adeniyi and Adekunle Salvador.
Abdulkareem, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and ex-aide to former Governor Babatunde Fashola on Political and Legislative Powers is expected to head the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Oriyomi,, former Chairman of Bariga LCDA takes over as the new Commissioner of Local Government and Community Affairs.

Mobereola, the Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, is expected to head the Ministry of Transportation.

The portfolios of the others are:

Dep. Gov. Oluranti Adebule- Ministry of Education

Idowu Ajanaku – Ministry of Information and Strategy

Gbolahan Lawal – Ministry of Environment

Prof. Ademola Abass- Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.

Modupe Akinsola – Ministry of Tourism.

Folarin Coker – Commissioner of Waterfront Infrastructure Development.

Paul Kalejaiye – Commissioner of Agriculture.

Ambode is expected to announce members of his cabinet this week.

probably you voted, he also voted for the incumbent gov. of lagos state.we all have equal right according to the law.
The fact remains that the man did a whole lot and much more that nobody, not even the governor couldn't have done for himself to get to the position...
Only God and those that lost their lives for him to get there can ask or claim tittle.
