For News, Fixtures, Results and League table on the NPFL

The entertainment, the excitement from the fastest growing league in the world continue this weekend in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with Super Sunday fixtures as League Lovers set to savour another great moment of domestic football.

Match Day 25 will witness two key games, the Northern derby between Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United and the Oriental derby between Abia Warriors and Heartland, Bayelsa United and Sharks will be engaging themselves in a relegation duel as well.

Abia Warriors vs Heartland
(DWDWL) --- (DLLLW)
The Umuahia Township stadium will come alive on Sunday Ladan Bosso's Boys will be trading tackles with the Naze Millionaires'. The Umuahia based team stunned their opponents 1-0 in the first fixture at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri. Ifeanyi Onyeali scored the only goal of the game.

Ladan Bosso and his men six games unbeaten record was chattered in their last game when they lost 2-0 to Wikki Tourists while Heartland put an end to their winless streak of four games as they shun out the full points against Kwara United with a 1-0 triumph in Owerri in their last game. It's going to be a difficult game for the two teams. The hosts occupied the 6th position on the log with 37 points, Heartland on the other hand are 7th on the log with 36 points they will be looking for away to revenge the three points they lost in the first leg.

Lobi Stars vs FC Ifeanyi Uba
(WDLWL) --- (LDLDW)
The Pride of Benue will be welcoming FC Ifeanyi Uba to the Aper Aku Stadium this Sunday as the Makurdi based side continue to fight hard for survival. This will be Daniel Amokachi second away game ever since he was appointed as the head of the Anambra team, he won his last away match against Rangers.

The first meeting between these two teams ended in a two nill victory for the Anambra Warriors, Elu Wilson and Okereke Maduabuchi scored a goal each in that encounter. Ifeanyi Uba captain Chibuzor Okonwo has vowed that they are going to Makurdi to nick out the full points. The likes of Tony Okpotu, Eche Idakwo, Abdulrahman Bashir, and Moses Bunde must give 100 percent performance on Sunday if they really want win this game.

Enyimba vs FC Taraba
(WDDWW) --- (WLWLD)
NPFL league leaders, Enyimba of Aba are currently topping the table with two points they will be hosting bottom placed team FC Taraba at the Enyimba International Stadium this Sunday. This is a sure win for the hosts considering the visitors away form in their last five games on the road.

Kadiri Ikhana and his lads defeated FC Taraba in the first meeting by a lone goal courtesy of Mfon Udoh 88th minute strike in match day 5.

Kano Pillars vs Nasarawa United
(WWDWL) --- (LWLWD)
Baba Ganaru will be facing his former team this Sunday in a Northern derby at the Sanni Abacha Stadium. The Northerners will have great moment of football action to savour when this two teams meet, they are going to be highly entertained with huge football artistry.

Baba Ganaru who is now the coach of Kano Pillars tutored the Solid Miners to a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture with Esosa Igbinoba scoring the fastest brace of the season with in the space of two minutes, he got the first in the 26th minute of play and the second in the 28th minute, Rabiu Ali consolidated his team with a 65th minute goal.

Pillars are yet to taste defeat at home ever since Ganaru returned and Nasarawa are yet to record an away win this season. The homers have got a lot of things working together for them at home I don't see Kabiru Dogo chattering the Sai Masu Gida scary home record.

Kwara United vs Shooting Stars
(LWLLL) ---- (WLWWL)
The Oluyole Warriors will be the guests of the Harmony Boys in the clash of the Warriors on Sunday at the Kwara Sports complex in Ilorin as the fans of both clubs set to witness another rivary match.

Shooting Stars were on song in the first encounter with a comfortable two nill home victory in Ibadan. Former Kwara United striker Nojeem Olukokun netted the first goal before Under 23 star Junior Ajayi sealed the win with the second goal.

The hosts are 5th from the bottom with 26 points six points behind the visitors who occupied the 11th spot on the league standings. 3SC won one of their last two away matches, they are capable of causing an upset on the road. Tunde Sanni and wards are in for a real deal,Ogunbote on the other hand will be banking on the experience of goalkeeper Danladi Isa, Cletus Itodo, Ajani Ibrahim and et al to get job done for him.

Enugu Rangers vs Dolphins
(LDWDL) ---- (WLDLW)
The Pride of Port Harcourt put up a convincing performance in their last home game against Sunshine Stars with a 1-0 win. Reports has it that the relegation threatened side played so well in that game although the only goal of the encounter came from defender, Jonathan Zikiye's free kick.

Imama Amapakabo and his men lost their last home game to Ifeanyi Uba, they will be entertaining Stanley Eguma and his team at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday, they look so wounded right now after their ouster from the Federation Cup where they lost 1-0 to Lobi Stars, they will be looking for a way to put a smile on the faces of their teeming fans. It will take a miracle for Dolphins to pick a point in this game.

Sunshine Stars vs El-Kanemi
(LWDWL) ---- (LWLWD)
John Daddy 55th minute strike in the first leg was the major factor in this fixture. The Maiduguri outfit have been fantastic on the road this season they haven't won any game away from home this season, they drew their last home match.

The Owena Waves are second on the 20-team Nigerian top flight table with 43 points, two points behind the leaders Enyimba of Aba, they wouldn't want to drop any point in this one although they have 100 percent home record this season, they are very difficult to crack when playing at the Akure Township Stadium. It's going to be a stroll in the park for the Kenedy Boboye's tutored side.

Warri Wolves vs Wikki Tourists
(LWDWD) ---- (DLDWW)
Despite not having four of their key players in the squad that traveled to Kastina on Wednesday to play El-Kanemi, Wolves went on to pick a point and this shows how purposeful and compact their team is. Abdul Maikaba won the first fixture narrowly with Victor Yakuba scoring the only goal of the game.

The Sea Siders are third on the table with 41 points while Wikki Tourists maintained the fourth spot with same points with the home team. The Northerners won their last away game 1-0 against Kwara United and also defeated Abia Warriors 2-0 in Bauchi in their last home game. Godwin Obaje, Mubarak Umar and Peter Ambrose will be up against the likes of Micheal Egbeta, Sikiru Alimi, Okoye Micheal, Kelvin Itoya and Abu Azeez. The Warri City Stadium have not witnessed home defeat in the second round of the league, I hope this will not be the time.

Akwa United vs Giwa
(LWDDL) --- (WLWLD)
After reaching their first ever Federation Cup final with a slim win over Nasarawa United in the semi final of the cup competition, Akwa United returned to the Nest of Champions to host Giwa FC of Jos this Sunday.

The first meeting between the two teams ended in an emphatic four nill win for the Jos team as Mohammed Saleh, Gyang Amos, Ibrahim Shauibu and Ocheme Edoh scored a goal each in that very encounter. Giwa have not been consistent in the second phase of the league, they are yet to win a game on the road ever since the second stanza resumed, Akwa United on the other hand are fragile at the home, they have dropped points at home this season. Justin Tenger and his boys must be clinical in front of goals and be solid at the back if they really want to get something out this game.

Bayelsa United vs Sharks FC
(DLDDD) --- (WLWLD)
The Restoration Boys will engage the Blue Angels in a survival duel on Sunday at the Oghara Township Stadium in Delta. Both teams played out a goalless draw in their first meeting, they drew their respective last league matches. Bayelsa drew away from home while Sharks drew at home.

Both teams are on same points 22, the homers are second from the bottom while the visitors are third. Sharks will be looking for away to turn the tide around this weekend, they have won a game on the road this season, they will be going into this game with that winning mentality. Bayelsa who haven't won a game in their last eight league games must play their heart out in this encounter. It's going to be a difficult one.
