Nelkoko: This is possible since their MC** Osinbande is a specialist in getting protection from our courts to prevent probe of alleged FRAUD by government officials => barcanista: The FRCN’s report on Sanusi The decision to suspend the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Sanusi Lamido was based on a report of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria dated June 7, 2013. The report was made after a review of Sanusi’s response to the query issued to him by the President over the apex bank’s financial statement of 2012. His response was dated May 20, 2013. According to a copy of the report obtained by our correspondent on Thursday, the council indicates that the explanation provided by the suspended CBN governor is “a clear display of incompetence, nonchalance, fraud, wastefulness, and abuse of due process and deliberate efforts to misrepresent facts on the part of the leadership of the CBN.” The council advised the President to exercise the powers conferred on him by Section 11(2)(f) of the CBN Act 2007 or invoke Section 11(2)(c) of the said Act “and cause the governor and the deputy governors to cease from holding office in the CBN.” The report read: The particulars of the infractions against Sanusi are: Persistent refusal and/or negligence to comply with the Public Procurement Act in the procurement practices of the Central Bank of Nigeria. (A) By virtue of Section 15 (1)(a) of the Public Procurement Act, the provisions of the Act are expected to comply to ‘all procurement of goods, works and services carried out by the Federal Government of Nigeria and all procurement entities.’ This definition clearly includes the Central Bank of Nigeria. (B) It is however regrettable that the Central Bank of Nigeria, under his leadership, has refused and/or neglected to comply with the provisions of the Public Procurement Act (PPA). You will recall that one of the primary reasons for the enactment of the PPA was the need to promote transparency, competitiveness, cost of effectiveness and professionalism in the public sector procurement system. I prefer EFCC than kangaroo probe in the state. Meanwhile, the innitiator should be ready to face his own PROBES too, irrespective of immunity 1 Like |

The money was used to win the election for buhari. Why are people pretending of probing? Buhari should do the needful. He should return the money plus interest. Otherwise thi will amount to wasting efcc time. Poor Amaechi. This will definitely hang around his neck for the next four years. His ministerial post is down the gutter. |

joseph1832: Which administration? Stop deceiving yourself. We know your so called administration would rather die than to initiate a coronary inquest on the fraudulent administration amaechi presided over. The people of rivers state, who you never believed he misgoverned are the ones pushing this and not any fraudulent central government whose definition of corruption starts and ends with the opposition party. |

Even Wike knows Amaechi is not quilty of any wrongdoing. He was only making this noise to smear Amaechi and spoil his chances of getting any appointment. Good thing the EFCC has come in, what Wike meant for evil will turn around for Amaechi's vindication. We waiting for EFCC's findings, Amaechi will be cleared. 1 Like |

joseph1832: Did the efcc effect any prob on amaechi on its own or after a consistent insistence by the people of the state? Efcc wouldn't have asked amaechi any question but for hundreds of petitions daily about rivers state. Let me give you another one. CACL have petitioned fashola and Lagos state government. Will efcc make any move? You should know. This government don't have what it takes to question its friends. |

ndcide:Well that's what well meaning Nigerians are for? The EFCC can't probe or know every shady thing under its nose, so its the duty of those who have inside info that the burden fall on. Anybody who has ground breaking evidence about the corrupt practices of any Nigerian should petition the EFCC with his or her evidence. |

I laugh at all these people, they are so naive. Amaechi will come out untouched. However this is the perfect opening for wike's probe. After the tribunal sends him packing, efcc will pick him up for the billions he looted in the education ministry. Wike himself knows what he has coming to him. Una never Sabi politics. Amaechi hardly pocketed rivers money. At worst he funded the apc with it. Anyone would be deluded to think that an APC government would jail amaechi or something. The pdp and wike have seen amaechi's case lately as beyond stopping him from getting a ministerial slot, PDP saw amaechi's case as their perfect card to tie buhari's hands from prosecuting jonathan's criminals. Reasoning that buhari can't touch us if he doesn't touch amaechi. So we must indict him by any means necessary. If efcc don't work, the probe panel in rivers state must indict him. This probe of amaechi has gotten the monkey off buhari's back. Orubebe, diezanni, Wike watch out! 1 Like |
